Samsung just found the root cause 2 weeks ago. How they going to manufacture that many new phone with fixes and send to everybody?

Something is very fishy about Samsung.

Everyone? What weed u took? Even the recall are being run progressively batch by batch.
*
Quite rush. Later got other QC problem.

QUOTE(eetony @ Sep 8 2016, 08:44 AM)
y worry,  u can buy iphone7 now
*
Yes I think so too.

QUOTE(edan1979 @ Sep 8 2016, 09:07 AM)
samsung should learn from this mistake... never rush things again... last time... the device is fully ready 1 or 2 month after they announce it. we usually officially get the phone on october. never got any of this kind of mishap. this time they really rush the production.
*
Samsung never learn. Your new Note 7 replacement will be a rush product too.

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 8 2016, 10:23 AM)
personally, i dun think it's rushed job. as others have said and i also mentioned... in the case of battery, hard to tell since this is not really a design issue but rather manufacturing QC. usually find out when sth happens...

or sth gets discovered during random sampling.
*
Remanufacture the whole phone and resend to worldwide within this month looks quite rush to me. No?

manufacturing of the phone parts is on-going... it's in production all the time.

the parts are all in a warehouse somewhere. just waiting to be assembled and shipped out.

in this case, they probably identified the cause (maybe a bad QC batch of controller chips for battery, or battery itself had contaminant which they can then clean up the plant's assembly area).

so, wait for new batch of batteries... and then send out.

from first reported case, I'm sure Samsung already started investigation. and very sure when cause possibly identified, corrective actions already taken. the 2+ weeks is probably so they have enough time to assemble and ship out.

Being positive is good.

QUOTE(kding2 @ Sep 8 2016, 03:42 PM)
I think that Samsung is really being dumb here for man up, admitting their mistake and recall all the note 7 back and even give refund.  This action gave those samsung haters the bullets to attack them over and over again despite that they are willing to replace a new unit. Oh wait,  replace a new unit practice is not our culture. Should have keep quiet about it. Face is more important than correcting your mistake. Remember kids, next time don't make a mistake in your life or else apple fags will make you an outcast of society if they found out your past crime/mistake.

They should have do what apple did in year ago.

"Note 7 has a small possibility to explode?  Nonsense!  You guys dunno how to charge the battery correctly.  Also less than hundred cases of note 7 exploded over millions note 7 sold?  Isolated case.  Ok. Case closed."
*
Wow, comparing antennagate with explosiongate. Samsung really need these types of support. Way to go bro!

LOL. When one is posting good news, you clicked the thumbs up button. When one is sharing bad news and the concerns, you say it's wasting time to do so. Very good.  doh.gif

Btw, I am not a hater. I myself is Note 5 user + potential buyer of Note 7.

So I understand now. Once you masuk this thread, you can only praise, you can only love. You cannot critisize, you cannot express your frustation and disappointment. For god sake. Is this a forum or is it some sort of a private fan club? I am confused now. rclxub.gif

Anyway, looks like all my previous sharings and concerns were somehow labelled as hater action. I may stop sharing what I found and leave you guys alone. Should I?

Sigh....
*
No you shouldn't. Continue post. I am also Samsung Mega 6.3 user current. Ok one. Freedom of speech.

I think he not sure. But everyone know NOTE7 got problem. Who will buy Note7? I think probably no one. You never know which explosive Note 7 you get since some didn't plan to exchange it. For 2nd hand. So really 2nd hand note 7 is probably 0 value. Not worth risking your life and family life.

Ya. I expect it will be dropped till somewhere around the range of RM 2500-RM3000, before it's completely replaced by Note 8. biggrin.gif

*
You are wrong. Note 5 already drop to RM2100 currently. So Note 7 will drop to RM1500 due to no 2nd value. Please check market price before offer your opinion. Don't be misleading.

you don't be misleading, i'm talking about RRP. not talking about whichever price you can get from Garage Sales or Online Shopping. Let's see whether Note 7 will get RM1,500. I dare you to buy me Note 7 at RM1,500 on 29th Sept.
*
Where got people talk about RRP? Nowaday people buy from Lazada or 11st. No more RRP.

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Sep 11 2016, 10:19 PM)
Aiya. I already said it's my expectation ma. You can just say you disagree. No need to say I am misleading. In fact, where got misleading oh? Why so serious? This is a open forum. Correct or wrong, we can voice out our opinions. No need to be so professional. What is the fun in being so serious, right? tongue.gif
*
Well, its fun to point out the current price. smile.gif

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Sep 11 2016, 10:19 PM)
and lowballers will always be lowballers, such pathetic, thinking of getting a flagship phone with half a price without the phone official launching. you must be day dreaming dude. way ahead. wake up please!
*
Not lowballers. Just scared....

Hahaha. Maybe after this can wear all pink. Can match with the phone. Your friend use Rose Gold guy or girl?
*
Pink is nice. Only enough Jantan can use pink phone. If scared to use pink phone means not enough jantan. devil.gif

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Sep 11 2016, 10:22 PM)
just ignore him, he got his mathematics failed that why, RM2699 launched, now RM2100 according to him, is just merely 13% depreciation. I give you discount don't need 13% depreciation. I give you 20% depreciation from RM2879 still have RM2.5k. where the heck you get RM1,500? bravo! great calculation!
*
But our currency drop so much. So Note 5 should be > RM3xxx if launched now.

not surprised since there's now iPhone 7 and v20 soon. at this current price, the other phones look better. so Samsung definitely need to revise price or give lots more freebies.

Yeap, I mean, do we want to pay so much and have sleepless night worrying if the Note 7 will blow up? confused.gif

About the 2nd hand value, I think it will depend on the phone itself. If it's replacement unit, no way it will drop down to below RM 2000. Hell no. Impossible.

But if you are talking about the faulty unit (I still think that some people will not return the phone), RM 1500? May be lah.....
*
RM1500 for 2nd hand grenades? laugh.gif

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 11 2016, 10:36 PM)
ya, actually, they should have some sort of rename and physical indicator.

else airlines might still not allow new sets to be used...
*
Yeah, if there's no indicator, then Note 7 no need to sell already. Nobody will buy one.

Report summarize as below:

Change new battery sure kena.
Recall also susah, tak recall also salah.
No compensate salah, give compensate also susah.
Replacement not first also kena.
Location not at sc susah, not near my house also salah.
Buy later scare is refurbish unit salah.
Buy now also scare second hand value susah.
Loan phones dont give models & colours choice also salah - maybe give ifong7 ?

Better Samsung bankrupt case closed. 1 cent pun take ada. Lolololoz.
Have fun. No Monday blues, yeaah.
*
No need bankrupt. Best way is to refund everyone and stop Note 7 production. That's all.

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Sep 11 2016, 10:39 PM)
Meh don't care about the price so much. Note series loyalist still buy the phone even though it can blow you away, literally. No other phone that can match the Samsung Note series. Most of the users who already accustomed to the Note phone, change other phone, still go back to the phone even they skip one series.
*
Note 7 loyalist so loyal until want to sleep with grenade? I don't think so la. rclxub.gif

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 11 2016, 10:40 PM)
usually for a solid product like Note7, no need to reduce price so soon. but due to the battery issue affecting their reputation and also new phone launches, Note7 don't really stand a chance at it's current pricing.

and personally for me, I'm still confident of Samsung product.. and the replacement unit I'll be getting soon.
*
Bad name cause by a few reports that we don't know if valid or not. sweat.gif

Yes. Rebranding the name is the only way to bypass those new regulations from Airlines. Not to mention that the name of "Note 7" is now broken due to the incident. Samsung should just change the name immediately so that people can differentiate it easily. Those bad news will be staying forever on the internet and medias. We won't be able to deny that. So Samsung better start from the scratch and relaunch the whole thing with a brand new title. Good to the PR and also the users will feel more comfortable with the new name.

Just my 2 cents.
*
Change name can. They need to reprint all the boxes. Then have new mold with new name.

And you wait until 29 November only get the phone sweat.gif

At least they admit the problem and recall it. Not like the other brand, 'You are holding it wrong' kind of attitude. And that phone is a design flaw. Not counting all those exploding fruit phones that is not widely reported on based what I'm seeing.
*
Exploding fruit probably not as widespread and as bad as exploding Samsung. I believe Samsung make such decision because they found the problem is really bad. Else, why recall right? They know how damaging is the recall. You can feel it now.

So Samsung recall is 'terpaksa' one.
