The difference between water resistant and waterproof is just the IP rating, IPx8 is suppose to be certified as "waterproof", while IPx7 is "water resistant". The "waterproof" is not literal, just a term for the IP rating, so by IP logic, Note 7 is considered "waterproof", not "water resistant" as they advertised.

Sony also pulled back the rubbish water-sealed-tight tech...again... Not many Xperia owners is aware, right...? Just like N7 2 Millions owners...

To be honest, I'm okay if the phone is not waterproof, water resistant, etc as long as I get my speaker sound back. The sound is way too muted with all their water proofing, dust proofing, exorcism protection, etc. Even with all that, kena air still the phone suffers.

Any idea when the next trouble free batches of Note 7 arriving?

As for the Sony one, they did specifically said snorkeling and pool, which contains salt and chlorine.

They should add Acid rain too...LOL...our water tap in kitchen, shower also got Chlorine...only the concentration is lower...drinkable...

Anyone knows if screen cracked, would my phone still be eligible for exchange?

now that i have packed the note 7, ready for the replacement by the end of the month, and currently using the mate 8, suddenly i kinda miss the secure folder featured in note 7, where i can use two whatsapp accounts at the same time...

Basically any impure substance, actually can, just need to rinse it off immediately to prevent it damaging the insides. Those kitchen one is OK la, lol
