I wud opined 4% for 12 mths FD is competitive right now

I mentioned before I would be happy with 4% FD promo, even will settle for 3.95%. Though I miss the days of 4.5/4.6% FD promo.  biggrin.gif

From what I understand, if the amount is BIG, they are willing to give special rates, probably an addition 0.05-0.1%

Good question!!! Here's my take.

It is quite possible that both Mamamia and his friend, and Starry got what the program credits them. How can? rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

I put it to you that Starry got 3.6% because the program was not yet updated to 3.55% on 20 November. rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

However Mamamia and his friend were too late in the month on 25 November. By that time the server had been updated to 3.55% backdated effective 15 November. bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif

Of course, I do not expect Maybank to go back and cut what was already creditted and shown in Starry CASA account on 20 November.

So here is another case of good days and bad days for placing FD to consider depending whether trend is up or down!!! brows.gif  brows.gif

I have eGIA dated 21st and 24th. One gets 3.6%, the other 3.55%.

As what Cookie mentioned. But I'm assuming you're doing it off the counter. GIRO/IBG/IBFT/RENTAS (all within 1 business working day process).
I did rentas for about 5.30 plus 6% i think, can't recall. nominal amount. But if you're doing all online, just instant transfer it, and done.  lol
Bankers cheque also should be 5-6 bucks too.. but it takes like 2 days float to clear... or take out cash lol biggrin.gif
*
The receiving bank that you r going to place FD with banker cheque do not see float. You can get the slip with today date as effective.

Yea, it cost rm5+

OTC ibg limit should be at rm50k or 100k if i am not wrong.

Anything above 100k, then use rentas for cheaper and aafe option. Banker cheque also can but costlier and mafan a bit.

The transaction time is 6am to 12 noon. Next Tuesday is the last Tuesday offer on 4.15%  unless HL bank extends it. Another alternative is through Maxis One Club 4.2%. Limit rm50k per person

Hi, for the Maxis One Club, it mentioned that need to open CASA. Can I just open the basic saving account with RM20 or must open Saving Account with RM200?

Hi sifus, what's the fastest way to tackle those banks that requires fresh fund in order to get 4%? Lets say 100k maturity today.

When did you place all these certs? I believe we will get this message if the promotion rate quota has finished.

I think those days of 4.5/4.6% FD promo is over for now. Would be interesting to see the Dec FD promo, coming soon, akan datang. biggrin.gif

With the BNM holding OPR recently, the best FD promo may be up to 4.2%, I hope. Lets see the year end and CNY promo. biggrin.gif
