however after 2 months break and i start to get back to the regime of running, i feel pain in the leg muscle and i couldn't run as far (ie 10km,15km or 21km) as i could...anybody can advise what should I do?

When u take a long break, muscles & bones weakened back to their sedentary state. So, to prevent injury, you will need to gradually ease back into training. Additionally, incorporate the impact reduction strategies in Post #2579

So far so good. Got covid during 2nd week of fasting month. But on CAT1. After recovered, I ran as usual outdoor but not as hard.

Now working back up to 13-14kmh on the treadmill.

Wow that's good for you. I was CAT1 as well but still experiencing shortness of breath especially when walking for quite a bit of distance. The stairs kill me too.

hi guys , any of your from nike peg 36 to brooks ghost 14 ? Considering myself nowaday only running MAF , slow and steady maintain at heart rate of 140-145 run 5km 6 time a week around 7 pace , before this i'm wearing new balance zante pursuit + peg 36 tukar2 every few day.....and finally the zante pursuit already dead and RIP.....peg36 is around 50% rubber leave , so plan to get another spare shoes for exchange every few day...

so i'm looking for replacement for peg 36 , not sure brooks ghost 14 is a good upgrade?

hi there, prior to this i was using the Brooks pure Cadence for a couple of years..

its been many years since ive done "proper" running - just wanted to check if Zero Drop shoes/minimalist footwear still popular?

anyone knows whats the replacement model/equivalent model to the Brooks Pure Cadence? other brand-model suggestions are also appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Minimalist shoe is not a hit anymore. Nowadays many people going for maximalist shoes or carbon-plated super shoe instead thanks to those new lightweight midsole materials.

The only new shoe that can give the feeling of PureCadence should be the Saucony Kinvara series. same low heel drop, very flexible. You can give it a try

Thanks.. I'll try to read up more.

I've settled for an Altra provision 6...not the best when I started running in it, but I think after a few runs Its begun to feel better on my feet already. Huhu.. Maybe need some time since switching brands

Altra models all have zero heel drops right? indeed need to readapt the running pattern if we not used to zero drop.

Hello, I have just signed up for a 10K race and this is my first race ever, so I think I need a pair of race shoes that doesn’t cost much. I have been running for quite some times already. My budget is around RM500. Any recommendations to it? Thanks!
