I have received two answers but they did not answer my questions.

I bought the previous SP 50 where it was advertised 10gb + free 10gb. However not 20gb is entered into the SP wallet. Instead 10gb is burnt after 30 days and only 10gb went into the wallet.

This new SP+ 30 is advertised in the same manner 5gb + free 1gb +50mins + 50sms.

1. I am asking whether this new SP+ applies the same way as in the previous SP i.e will the 5gb be burnt after 30 days or the whole 6gb data goes to the SP wallet? The advertisement RM30/30 days denotes there is some time limit.

2. Say, if I activate the SP 500mb for 30 days and I used only 400mb this month, 100mb can be carried forward. If I activate SP 10gb for 30 days and I similarly used only 400mb, 9.6gb can be carried forward. So it does not matter whether one activates 500mb or 10gb for 30 days, it is the same - the unused portion can be carried forward and there is no loss in the SP wallet. This applies in both SP and SP+ scheme (as someone answered, this is grouped as 1 SP). This is what I meant by renewal redundancy - it doesn't matter how one activates the data plan (500mb, 1gb or 10gb for 30 days) or whether auto-renewal is set off or on, the end result to the SP wallet is the same as long as the unused portion can be carried forward. I just want to confirm what I understand here is correct.

Allow me to briefly clarify the Special Season Pass FAT10..

Special Season Pass FAT10 @ RM50 subscriptions made by a new sp/mnp registration will be given a standard 10GB Data Season Pass and also comes with a free welcome gift of 10GB Data Plan (as in a normal automatically renewed monthly data plan). So, it is correct that 10GB goes into the Season Pass wallet and a free 10GB monthly data plan was activated for immediate use. Any ONEXOX dealer would have explained this to you if you've dealt with one.

Answering your questions now :

1. No, its not the same. Season Pass Plus is fully sp data + minutes + sms (all 6GB of SP+30 goes into sp wallet). The 30 days mentioned is the auto-renewal cycle. SP Plus subscription will be auto-renewed every 30 days if credit balance is sufficient.

2. This is the part where some became confused. There is no carry forward of any unused portion of the activated monthly data. So, basically I can confirm that your understanding is incorrect. Sorry. As per normal Season Pass, a block will be taken out when activated as monthly plan and the balance will be forfeited if any.

Assuming that you are aware that the free 10GB monthly data plan you're enjoying at the moment will be auto-renewed at the end of the 30 days period then I will also assume that you already have turned-off the auto-renewal of the said data plan.

The XOX advertisement on SP+ states "the data you don't use this month can be carried forward FOREVER. No gimmick, no wastage, can share".

Which data does this refer to (i.e that can be carried forward)?

Thanks. This explanation is very good and clear cut.

The difference of SP+ and normal SP is SP+ will auto renewed/subscribe to another SP+ after 30days given that user has enough credit balance in the account.

All these data will be displayed in season pass counter and it is up to the user to manage the data i.e activate FAT data plan from this season pass as he wish. 👍👍

Hi,

If my validity date is until 31/12/2019 and if I paid RM50 for SP+ (10GB data) but turn off auto renew *immediately*. Can I activate 500mb per month (meaning 20 months in total before reaching my validity date) from my SP "wallet" after that?

Hello there !

Subscribing to SP Plus 50 will get you a total of 12.5GB data. You can turn off auto-renewal immediately and activate 500MB/30days data plan for the next 25 months.

The Season Pass Plus will be stored in your Season Pass wallet immediately after purchase. It will remain there in your SP wallet until you decide to activate/use it or until your number is terminated.

Hello there !

Season Pass in its original form is a bulk purchase storage (which can also be considered as carry forward balance).

I hope users can differentiate the two different parts:

1. Season Pass : bulk purchase, carry forward, long term storage, requires data activation to use. No gimmick, no wastage (when activating in smaller amounts than actual requirement).

2. Advertisement of SP Plus : the advertisement banner itself is a gimmick with word play.

If you don't get it already, then it is the balance (data+minutes+sms) in Season Pass that is "carried forward".

I actually won't use the term "carry forward" for data, call minutes, and SMS stored in the Season Pass.

SP works like a wallet and whatever needs to be used has to be drawn out (in this case, user has to do a set data subscription in order to have internet access). Whatever balance in the SP is valid as long as the validity of the SIM card account.

"Carry forward" makes some people automatically think of an expiry date, as it's normally used when saying that something will be carried forward to a new term...

Perhaps the term "balance" is a better word, to avoid contributing to the confusion. Just a thought. smile.gif

I hv something to ask. If im subscribing to 1xox plus and have 60gb of data in my wallet and activate the auto-renewal, and i want to use my data at 1gb intervals, and lets say i finish my 1gb in 10 days everytime, will I have my data be auto-renewed 1gb every 10 days?

Afaik data renewal work based on time, not based quota, meaning data will be renewed every 30 days, it wont work if data finish before 30 days

Already port over my Maxis number to XOX 3 days ago. This morning tried to make M2U bill payment, but can't receive TAC.

yes, you can go ahead to subscribe again and that will override the existing subscription.

I called the bank, they said they will do the necessary and to switch off and restart phone after 30 min and try to get another TAC again. I waited 1 hr and reset and tried to get another TAC again, still no TAC received.

Called the bank again, they said already updated to XOX and the TAC was already sent via XOX so issue is with XOX Telco. This won't do. Might have to port to another Telco again next month.

Called XOX again, asked me try SIM on another phone. Haiz, one whole morning attending to this. Call here, call there, try this , try that. Didn't know such important issues still happen after so many similar incidents reported previously. At least Maxis didn't have a single issue receiving TAC codes on my phone previously.
