yes....i saw it that day. damn nice phone. out look just as same as V3i but the function like v3x. i think movie play back is also looks faster not sure about the resulotion. i think maybe it support 3.5G too.

this phones new UI is faster then v3x and other series.. played with it oledi.. very fast an other same as v3i.. juz tat no lag, no hang.. other all the same and with the pure black design the phones looks elegant..

 should make a bit different...  scared N76 giving problem cause got almost a look?  anyway...really this phone better & no laggy/hang from previous model... some more the price is reasonable and can be a continuation hit for V3's family...  |

yea.. this phone doesnt have lags or hangs.. i played with it juz like half an hour and nth happens.. smooth and the video plays is nice.. they wanna remain the design coz its special..

new batts take some time to reach full capacity...
eg. my mom's V3x when first bought can only last <1 day but after 2 months the batt life increased to 2 days and mind u,the MAXX and V3xx is realeased at the same time |

Also need feedback on the usb port, Read in some US forum that it is difficult to open the usb port. Moto redesign port for the gold version. How about for Asian models? Any problems openning the port?

Does anyone know AP set v3xx that DON'T HAVE the "3" logo!?!?!?!?!!?
I've scout around, ppl sellin v3xx ap sets, but when i hold the phone and look at its battery cover...argh!!! the '3' logo!!!! hate it so much. and the UI is so ugly!!! the 3 logo means it was taken from #network from overseas.. many set in Miri here AP dun have the vodafone/3/orange logo 1 lor.. the battery cover can change 1 ma.. ask the shop help u change no 3 logo and flash the UI to local Malaysia 1 la.. so it supports chinese u say...

the battery usage is 2-3days for normal usage.. heavy usage depends on wut ur doing with it lor..
if the volume is low.. u can always edit the song become louder using some programs.. |

hai all, i'm a proud owner of a second hand v3xx, been using it for about two week with no problem in kelantan, cannot test the hspda connection, kelantan got no hspda yet. Using celcom 3g, da connection is ok, video call ok juz tat the screen picture a bit small compare to n93i. bought it at kuantan parade for rm700 still got 11 month warranty. think it is an AP set.

how can i transfer all my sim contacts into the phone in one go? all it can do just copy 1 by 1 =.=" i cant just copy 1-1 over all 250 contacts. does anybody hav any recommendations? |

I planning to get a 3.5g phone. Looking at the market, the only available are N95, V3xx and V6 Maxx. Price wise AP set in lowyat forum can get V3xx at RM750 which i think is a bargain. Anyone has tried out the 3.5g service on this phone yet? Like to know some comments about using this phone with 3g service. I plan to have this phone serve as a 3g modem while surfing it with my laptop.

There are more choices of 3.5g phones actually like Samsung z560 and z720 but I would prefer to get Motorola V3xx as it cost very cheap now.

alamak.... still old mind-set... 3G is not just for video call... i repeat, 3G is not just for video call only... it's also wireless internet access and many more. Now better don't confuse with WiFi or WiMax OK.....

Just bought mine yesterday. Orange V3xx ap set from hk bought at bj complex in penang for rm650. The box comes with all the standard stuff except fot the data cable and the memory card. Also bought a transcend 2 g tf card at rm88 only.
Using the v3xx as my modem (celcom 3G unlimited data only rm 50) now to replace my old data card (max 384 dl only). So far, i'm happy with it. No lag with the 2gb tf card. |

Yup. Most areas in Penang are under HSDPA. Yesterday i constantly got 70 - 80kbps using limewire. Very much faster than my old umts only data card.
Vincent, i'm using my canon digicam's usb cable for the connection . Yep, unlimited data at rm50 per month. Got it in penang. |

Right, the rm 50 is purely for data only. You cannot use it to make calls, but it can be used to sent and receive sms and mms. Was a very good offer by celcom. |

Checked out the promotion at tesco extra. Indeed is a great promotion. The set is from I-mobile. I got it for 888 too. The set comes with a portable charger that is worth RM199 (thats what they claimed). They also give me screen protector and a 1G micro sd card. Not forgetting load all the mp3's, wallpaper and games too.
Any v3xx users know how to install theme? |

I'm having this weird prob with my v3xx if I reply directly to mms which I received from my gf...she will not receive it although my phone stated that the sms already sent to her (if an mms replied with mms no problem occured) to overcome this I have to go to create new message menu then proceed with the usual steps...this situation quite annoying to me...huhu anybody knows what's causing this? |

Folks, thanks to the useful information found on this thread - I finally took the plunge and got myself a V3xx to replace my Nokia 6100. As a matter in fact, I could not decide which phone I should get hold of until yesterday. Was at Subang to pick up a stereo handsfree for my wife's z610 that started the ball rolling. It was then I spotted a V3xx on the glass top and asked if I can check it whats the fuss bout this phone. My initial findings at that very moment apart from the reviews I have seen: 1. Slim & thin - one of my main consideration factor 2. Keypad has got very nice tactile feeling 3. Uniformed miniUSB port for battery charge & connectivity - another key consideration 4. Clear & sharp display 5. Zippy & responsive user interface 6. Build of the phone feels solid despite its slim form factor 7. Didnt like the microSD cage, Spent the next 15-20 minutes going through the manual just to ensure the functions and features suffice to my requirement - and I would say it does more than what I require and its time to negotiate. Settle down for a set from Brightstar for RM698, with screen protector, USB cable & stereo handsfree. Add another RM50 for a 1GB microSD after contemplating whether should I go for it or not. Paid my dues, got home and start reading the manual thoroughly. At the same time, installed MPT using the CD provided to my laptop. Since I could not try out MPT at that very moment, went through the user guide and I must say it looks pretty impressive. Addresses my requirement for PIM sync with MS Outlook, send & receive SMS on laptop & 3/3.5G mobile modem on the run - would reckon this device as best bang for the buck. First thing when the device is fully charged, loaded up MPT and sync the contacts with what I have in Outlook. Took me couple of tries to get it done before I could get everything running, but nevertheless - looks good. Tried sending SMS using MPT and sure looks good as well. At this point in time, cant test out the 3/3.5G modem capability as I have yet to sign up any data packages and I believe my SIM card is still on 2G. Got a couple of questions for u folks, hope to get a heads up: 1. MPT was not able to detect my phone automatically. Had to manually add it in, and seeing there is no V3xx option - I selected V3x. Did any of u face the same thing? 2. How reliable are the external keys? Now, its time to head to www.modmymoto.com to see what more I can do with the V3xx. Wish me luck |

I tried live update, and it says its the latest. Still cant detect the phone using USB cable, had to add in manually - even so, there is no option for V3xx. The external keys I was referring to is the volume up, down, smart & camera keys at the side of the flip. |

If you connect the V3xx and laptop via USB cable, will the 3G internet speed max at 1.8Mbps or 921600 bps? Coz the dial up dialog properties only max at 921600 bps. Any tips to go beyond this limit?

you can terminate the D99 plan anytime. No contract period. Batu Caves no Streamyx ka? Unless u're a road warrior, 3G or 4G is a compulsory service. Like me I'm using Celcom 3G and its service is reliable i must admit.

A quick question, is anyone using the V3XX with Celcom 3G plan? From what I understand, I should be able to see the H or 3G+ logo instead of 3G - but I am not seeing anything else besides 3G only, connection speed is also 3G speed.
Just wondering if there are further settings to be defined in the Network Settings as I have set mine to Auto. |

Hi guys..... I just bought 2 Set of motorolaV3xx.. Ap set of course la.. One for me and one for my wife.... So as a Nokia Phone User/Fan before what can i say about this Motorola is:- (My wife using a samsung phone before)
For Me this is the best basic phone for me.. For RM600.00. I got everything i need and lack everything i dont need... (I dont think i can get it with other phone/models) it got Camera, Video Camera, 3G, HSDPA.... Etc... Yeah The Camera Only 1.3 mega pixel but As long as i can snap and store my son/wife picture and still recognizeable, i can live with that... If want better picture... For sure i will be using my digital camera.... Beside that it looks good, look expensive (Love the key pad) fit nicely in my pocket not so big not so bulky... just nice.... i wonder if anyone faces this problem:-
my v3xx suddenly died. wanted to check sms. When i flip if open, the phone suddenly hang and then cannot be restarted again.when i restarted the phone, the keypad lighted up for 2-3 seconds then die again. LCD never lighted up. and the phone doesn't seem to be charging also when try plugging in the charger. anyone can tell me what might be the problem? |

i juz bought an AP set few weeks ago.. bought it mainly coz of its sexy looks and its one of the cheapest 3g phone available in the market 2day.. besides, it packs quite a lot of function for that kinda price range..
mine has that 3 logo at the back, but it doesn't come out in the outer screen like the pic senyap721 has posted.. mine also doesnt have that planet 3 thingy showing at the screen.. been kinda wondering, wats the meaning of that 3 logo?? any difference?? so far, been satisfied wit the phone.. only downside ive found so far is that it couldnt view n open big resolution pics, n thats a real shame coz these days most phone cams can take pics more than 3mp resolution.. yeah.. i think motorola did a very good job.. i think this phone fits me quite good.. yeah, it only has a 1.3mp cam, no flash, n the speaker's not as good as the one's on sony ericsson.. but then again, i dont need a super sharp cam, coz i think i can live wit a 1.3mp only.. the quality's quite good n its certainly better than some of the bigger resolution cams i found on nokia's.. furthermore, if i wanna take a high quality pic, my normal digicam can do the job 4 me.. besides, cams on phones pretty much suck anyway on any brands of mobile phones.. wanna take serious photos, use a digicam..
i dont need it to be a fabulous music player as well, coz i my ipod covers that job very well.. all i need from the speakers is not high quality stereo wit excellent bass quality, i juz need it 2 be able 2 play my mp3 ringtones loudly n clearly so i would be able 2 hear it if i receive sms or phone calls even in shopping centres as well as wake me up every morning using the alarm clock function.. n it does that pretty well 4 me.. the only few things annoying me wit this phone is the disability 2 view high resolution pics n also the keypad.. although they look like modern art, but i find myself always accidentally pressing the browser button when i type sms.. really2 annoying, but, i guess i can live wit it.. besides, they keypad's one of the main reason y i decided 2 get this phone.. they look uber cool especially in the dark.. i guess, this phone is like an aston.. lots of fault wit it, but the way it looks, u juz melt looking at it.. u juz feel like licking it or sumthin |

We can't install theme directly. Theme in v3xx is just a setting. You need software like P2K in order to install new skin. i have tried HSDPA with CELCOM 3G... highest so far is 1.5mbps DL, but much depend on how many user using the network at the time you access to the HSDPA... really love this phone..

Anyhow, was using this phone since late July07 and it refused to power on last Friday. Cause? Unknown - would need to wait when collecting the phone in couple of days time.
Got a question for u folks that uses this phone on a modem mode via USB cable. Does yr USB charge able to charge the phone while acting as a modem? What I encountered is that when the phone is on modem mode, the phone gets charged through USB - but at a very slow rate, or the phone is sucking more juice from the battery rather than charging it. |

Just got my v3xx yesterday. seem to be working fine.
web browsing is very fast using the hp. connected to pc as modem is stable. It look like yr USB port produce not enough ampere to charge yr V3xx. Got a question for u folks that uses this phone on a modem mode via USB cable. Does yr USB charge able to charge the phone while acting as a modem? What I encountered is that when the phone is on modem mode, the phone gets charged through USB - but at a very slow rate, or the phone is sucking more juice from the battery rather than charging it.
