i bought a v3xx juz to act as a modem for celcom mobile broadband

i noticed tat the time and date is not working, meaning it wont change at all once i set it .

i can use the fon to surf and to act a modem to go on line, but can some one pls tell me why the date and clock is not working

ya , i tot of doing tat but all my short-cuts to the web wil be lost.......how to backup those shortcuts/fav to my memory card b4 i master reset it?
and wat is the master reset code?
is it 0000 or 000000?

Added on August 29, 2007, 10:39 ammy fon comes wif the vodafon logo and i was told tat vodafon or 3 better performs local moto cause those ap ones are specifically configure for 3.5G.........correct me if i am salah

i tried using bluetooth and cable at the same location and found tat using cable is more stable and it charges the fon at the same time, can go on9 for 10 hours non stop witout the battery konk............and if using bt the fon feels very hot

mine is a VODAFONE set fr the UK and warranty by Aspen
actually overseas sets hav no limitation as was told by a dealer........whereas local sets hav some limitations

fren if you using celcom d68, bewarn sending of sms incured charges............i juz received my first mth bill..........total to pay this mth rm93.00 not rm68 cause i hav to pay tax, wap charges and sms charges

i was in jb last sat and sun..........guess wat most of Jb hav 3g+ on the fon logo meaning its in HSDPA mode and its even better than in KL man super fast surfing using the fon itself

if you are lucky you can get an AP set for under rm700 but since celcom launched this rm68/mth package this v3xx ap set are hard to comeby nowadays

yes rm68/mth but the actual amount should be rm71.40 inclusive of 5% tax provided you dun surf on pay site on your fon..................btw i juz received my 2nd mth bill

actually , you used your v3xx on a notebook without the power fr the mains, threfore the battery konk out fast.
inorder for the fon to be charged by the nb , you must turn on your main power . It happened to me b4.

abt it cannot be turn on or recharge............its because the battery and fon nid to cool down first, then it can be charge again.........if you read abt this v3xx in most tech forum, you would hav noticed tat this v3xx battery suks .....this is the reason why i sold off my v3xx(rm580) fast after using for 1 mth and now using a 6630 (rm400) connected using a dual usage data cable which can charge and data connect at he same time.

try connect your v3xx wif a data cable and go on9 but dun use the power fr the mains...........

try to suks the v3xx battery dry and see how............

actually the main advantageous of xx over this 6120 is tat, it charges the battery as u are connected on9.....especially good for bt-ing.........whereas 6120 battery kong out after abt 3 hours



abt warez, not as many as the good mini but if you knoe how to google, there are still many java ones around and also it support chinese..........but to me no use cause i no no read chinese de .banana man

initially i subscribed to celcom d68 package to surf..........but lately this sialcom gets siao and the speed suks at only abt 20~40 kbps which initially was abt 300kbps

the i signup another data sim card , Digi's rm66/mth....... Edge........which my xx managed to surf at abt 150~190kbps......

now i bought a used dopod 818 (which is similiar to the ole mini but supports Edge)

meaning i am using the sialcom data sim on xx and the Digi's mobile bb data sim on the dopod

now i can surf wif the dopod anywhere although the screen is small but i connect to my nb when available

on wat carrier you use, it all depends on your area........but digi is more consistent than sialcom, frankly

and this xx rocks when using edge, it even outperforms the infamous nokia 6230i

i would advice you to try this digi one mth, if tarak guna, then unsubscribe and test sialcom, actually sialcom also quite sial cause one day you hav 3G, then the next day or five hours later at the same SPOT, u only get gprs speed and this sialcom tarak EDGE wor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if yor place no Edge, then forgot Digi too.............

dun expect xx as versatile as nokia or mini , infact not much warez to play play only a handful of java warez around...so u still nid a pocket pc for all yoor ebooks and notes also some "you knoe wat kinda stuff to song-song la sometimes la "

if you are still studying.......i advice u use dopod......cheapest is the 818 tat support Edge( i actually plan to sell it and get dopod 838 soon cause dopod is actually better than mini......buy i still keep the mini la for sentimemtal sake.)

yeah, if icon shows E means u are in Edge area.........maxis and Digi both hav edge but sialcom as uaual sial d, so tarak edge

when i am in 3.5G area, the icon shows 3G+ and connection also shows 3G+ although i am subscribed to he D68 package

sialcom upfront payment rm68

both not contracted, meaning u can terminate b4 the next mth bill comes

i am still contemplating which one to keep.............
