Paid TNB this morning using UOBpayonline, then 15 minutes later the postman arrived with the blue envelope with my new wise card. Straightaway I activate the new card. 2 hours later UOBpayonline confirmed the transaction is declined. Have to redo everything again bangwall.gif BTW I got mine a paywave card without requesting.

For those who have been charged with AF before, when will it charge you? Once the new statement cycle starts?

My statement cycle is from 28th to 27th and my anniversary is in Sept, not sure when it will be charged... sad.gif
*
AF is charge on the 1st of every month. If they don't charge you on 1st Oct, they will charge on 1st Nov.

Will it be 1st Sept as my anniversary is in Sept?
I checked back my approval date, it is around 14th Sept 2015.
*
Most probably it will be after anniversary date. I have 2 cards here. My card anniversary is June 2013 and they just recently charge AF on 01 Aug. My missus card anniversary is Nov 2013 and last year her AF was charged on 01 Dec 2015.

I have to say this. The requirement for wise gold is 2k/m. So one would have to spend all his income to get the CB !! This is so insane!

Hi all. Wish to know:

Activate Wise in Dec 2015, annual fee charged & waived in Feb 2016 statement. When will be the month of next annual fee charge on my Wise Card?

Let's say CB for transaction in Sept will reflect in Nov statement, is it i have to cancel the card by end of this month and the CB transfer to CASA?

Please advice.
*
The statement is irrelevant. You use until 30 Sept. Get your Sept CB on 28 Oct and cancel thereafter. Your AF is still far away.

Like most of you all, I make full payment of statement balance, by the payment due date.

Let's assume that my statement date is 8th of each month. If I cancel my WISE card on 3 October 2016, when is the latest date by which I should make full payment of statement balance (or even outstanding balance)? Is it still 28 October 2016?
*
No...the moment you cancel you must clear your outstanding first.

I'll report here too. One of my wise card will have to go after all. Will maintain one card for petrol and utility trnx. Will cancel on Monday 31 Oct.

Thanks for your reply.

So, I have to settle the entire outstanding balance on the very day I cancel WISE Card, right? Not even a day late? sad.gif

The bank won't mind if you insist on following your payment schedule based on statement. However there are some banks who will only proceed with cancellation after the outstandings are cleared.

Talking about AF, if waived, effective CB will be 5%. Not waived, CB further reduced to 4.293% from Oct ranting.gif

Thank you for the reply.

It's relevant because 28 Oct CB will be stated in Nov statement. If i stop using started 1st Oct, how is the CB goes to?
*
1st Oct you just stop using the card. Once you get the CB on 28th Oct then you only cancel.

this card is useful for those who have lots of bills to pay where one card is not enough. 2k is achievable.

but for normal user i don't recommend keeping it if HLB want to continue with the AF.
*
This is true. All of a sudden, those who opt to continue will 'spam' all their insurance bills, cukai pintu, lesen perniagaan, car service to this card ! And don't forget to pay your AEON Big Visa Card from this card, using Posonline.

Just out of curiosity, swipe on what? Still needs to have a real transaction right?
*
Swipe on transactions that are normally not rewarding good enough such as insurance, car service, electronic appliances shop or even ladies boutique!

Sorry I'm very slow and blur (lol.. maybe it's because it's late) but I was just wondering what you meant when you said can use your wife's company terminal to swipe 1k.

I understand the concept of Wise and spending 1k on those falling outside the cashback categories, but I don't really know what you meant when you referred to using company terminal.

your wife owns a company which got so much variety of business for swiping or your wife working under a big company with all those retail swiping facilities? if yes, u not only can swipe 2k for wise card, u can swipe 1 million + to earn may be at least 2 million mbb treat points....tongue.gif but if own company, swiping a card may incur the company to pay some % of money to the bank....icon_idea.gif

Actually, my missus family that side runs a car accessories and vehicle servicing shop and I constantly send my company vehicle to them for servicing . They do accept cards though I pay them by cheque. Now it's time to use Hong Leong Wise Cards! Wow, swipe 1 million?? That's impossible, the annual turnover is not even that. Anyway, they don't accept AMEX. rclxub.gif

Called CS just now and express my unhappiness about the changes in T&C and asked for an alternative! Was given 2 options 1) Transfer to essential and get AF paid in June prorated. 2) 2 years AF waiver if continue using wise card, AF paid in June 2016 won't be refunded. Will double confirm next week with another CS.
