ceh...that part about how many quick laps of coz la. Even I know how to calculate myself during race. Dun need pitcrew to tell me. But it is inconsistent with what I mentioned earlier...nvm...

*
Actually, it's hard to calculate that all by yourself. While you know the relative distance of you and your competitor, you can't calculate on the fly on how will an xx.xx time of lap will give you an advantage when your competitors are doing xx.xx times. I want you to try

I admit I'm not professional at calculating this yet, but in the league I did try it a number of times. That was just comparing the person closest to me (about 2-3 seconds) so the rate of calculating correctly was quite high. Anyway nvm about that...I get what you're saying.

Yup.. It is not easy to become the strategist. The timing is so crucial during the race. Miscalculate will cause the team to lose.. very stressful

No lar, both can only be adjusted at pitstop, while tyre pressure can be monitored by the crew, no way they can adjust that. What they can adjust is engine mapping, and electronic devices (basic inputs) only

No doubt, strategies in a race is crucial. It's part of the winning package. You get it wrong, you are done.

Why would it be almost impossible? There are more years that drivers have driven without TC than those with TC. Are you saying that the likes of Fangio, Mansell, Senna, Prost, etc are gods?? tongue.gif

lol i think he meant it is more managable driving F1 car with TC.

Fauzy still hoping for Malaysian practice run
Spyker undecided on Friday driver at Sepang

QUOTE
Fauzy aiming to get some track time with Spyker
Despite previous reports to the contrary, it is now not certain that test driver Fairuz Fauzy will appear for the Spyker team on the Friday of the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Spyker did not run a Friday driver in Melbourne because of the Giedo van der Garde affair, but it was believed that part of Fauzy's new contract with the Dutch team was the guarantee of a Friday drive at his home circuit at Sepang.

But on the back of news that Spyker will sit out the pre-event Sepang test, Fauzy told the New Straits Times: "The team is still probably having some budget constraints.
So whether or not I'll be part of the Friday testing prior to the Malaysian Grand Prix still isn't confirmed yet."

"I hope I'll get the chance. But nothing is confirmed yet."

Fairuz will also race in the Formula Renault 3.5 World Series in 2007.

While it was Ron that hyping this issue, it was not McLaren alone that raised the issue to the FIA after the Melbourne's race

its good when there is someone concern about the ilegality...

ferrari moving rear and front wing were no doubt ilegal because its an aero part...but mass damper by renault was it an aero part or chasis part?imho it belong in a chasis part but any how FIA annouce it as ilegal,so in this moving floor by ferrari n bmw it suppose to be ilegal also laa.. whistling.gif

now u see, in F1 there's always a grey area. wings are allow to flex a certain amount, and of course so does renault mass damper which, wheter is a moving aero part is NOT well defined. Well, so question here is that why Ron have to complain then?

If you wanna beat your rivals, do it on track. FIA is doing their job, we all know teams knows better than to break the rules. I dare say NO team out there is breaking any rule technically but ALL teams does in a way, push things to the boundary into the grey area. You just have to live with it.
