wow...very nice....
i run mine 400 x 7 @ 1.25v now..set in bios..stil priming orthos to test stability...
cpu-z shows 1.248v  wink.gif  but whn priming orthos it shows 1.232v  sweat.gif
fluctuation?  unsure.gif
*
1.25v.. why u all can lower the vcore so much. mine was doing 1.375v in bios (1.344v in cpuz) and it only stable at that level. 1.356v in bios sure got erros after 5 minutes in orthos >.<

Yes i know E6600 is better bocoz hv higher multiplier.. but i dont need 4GHz clock speed for now. Previously my E6300 can hardly reach 3Ghz, its alrdy sufficient for normal use. Really fast enough.
Reason i wanna get E6400 is just wanna get a proc tht can easily hit > 3.2GHz, thts all.. nothing more.
Moreover, i only need to op up RM60 to get a E6400 after i sell my E6300 with RM600. If E6600 i nid top up few hundreds.. sakit hati tongue.gif
Just Oc for fun icon_idea.gif and like goldfries said, Better proc is good for benchie, for normal use, E6300 got not much different with E6600. (rich E6600 user dont flame me ok notworthy.gif )

My E6300 can run 1.275 vCore @400fsbx7 stable. I prefer undervolt vCore to get lower temp at higher clock speed.

Hi, i'm quite new to overclocking...please guide me along...thanks...

I've just got a new e6300 on a ds3 mobo. The problem is the cpu fan takes about 3 seconds to start spinning...is this normal?

And what is the stock temp for this cpu? My temp is 40C...normal? Im using the intel stock cooler with a normal coolermaster thermal paste. Do i need a new cooler?

And are there any uber noob guides to overclocking a rig with my specs? Would like one that specifically uses a DS3 as an example. I've read some of the guides in the pinned topics...but don't really understand most of them.

it's normal, takes seconds to spin, if on fan fail warning in bios, lagi annoying, hear long beep ....
will get used to it...
well alot of ppl using ds3 including me....
basicly i started of following what yehlai said in a few pages before,
try 350fsb, 100pcie, memory x2, voltage don't use auto, lock it at 3.25... later tht u can discover yourself......can try lowering vcore to get lower temp, then torture test it with orthos
