my e6300@ 2.4Ghz 63'C idle 80'C full load from TAT
but EasyTune shows 53'C idle 70'C full load, which one more accurate...
mean time i better change back to stock speed, anyway to lower temperature using stock fan?

where can i get orthos?

u can google up orthos.
did u replace the thermal paste on the stock HSF?
download everest or coretemp.
everest and TAT should be the most accurate among all.

i googled but could oly get prime95
i am using the stock thermal paste..
maybe pcfair get myself a nice hsf...

well, if u are considering on getting a new HSF, think thru first.
try using AS5 first.my temps arent as high as urs. stock hsf but with AS5
im not sure whether im allowed to give the link here.

i belive its Rm 30 in the bulk orders. they dont have stock for the small tube though, the only have the bigger one.

thx for the info , will look around in the bulk section, can't be going lyp adi, staying in ipoh and this 3 weeks go adi 3 times...

bulk seems ran out of stock, now just hopping for it in pcfair...

yeah u need to get a nice HSF + TIM, and the way u put thermal paste do affect the temp too. i got 58c while full load orthos but after i reapply the thermal paste due to some technical problem my full load become 62c..

btw using coretemp, tat and everest should be accurate for the temp reading wink.gif

C2D 6300
Gigabyte DS3 mobo
Kingston value RAM DDR-800 1G X 2
WD SATA II 250GB
CM Centurion 534 casing
CM eXtreme 430watt PSU

just normal stuff but not expect can OC to 3.1 Ghz running stable below 50c (now still running)
corevoltage - 1.475
RAM - 2.3


GA DS3 really a brilliant c2D board...

never try beyong 400fsb coz my 3.2ghz not stable enough (1.3625v in bios)

Ya, vCore a bit high there... I'm running 7x430 @ 1.225V / 1.192V shown in CPU-Z. Could lower you vCore a bit and extend the life of our processor wink.gif

wow...very nice....
i run mine 400 x 7 @ 1.25v now..set in bios..stil priming orthos to test stability...
cpu-z shows 1.248v wink.gif but whn priming orthos it shows 1.232v sweat.gif
fluctuation? unsure.gif

eh.. E6400 not stable when >400fsb?
I am planning to upgrade to E6400 now, hope can get higher OC. Now my E6300 can only hit 440fsb. But im not satisfy laugh.gif . I tot E6400 can easily hit 400fsb.. i sold my E6300 alrdy biggrin.gif

my fren...u thk its a worth upgrade from E6300 to E6400?? both stil same 2mb cache allendale only one is higher multiplier wic brings higher speed sweat.gif
y not straight to 4mb cache? E6600 thumbup.gif u can gain more peformance compare wif another allendale wink.gif

I kind of agree with yr statement...

To yehlai,
U will not gain much performance boost...I would suggest U go 6600...or maybe yr previous proc is "ubi" ( aka not overclockable) and need to chance smile.gif
