just went to lowyat. all the P5B-E Plus is version 1.01G. don't know whether it's C1 or C2.

if it is a sensor problem, is yr proc not yr mobo. Do take note.

What is the latest version for P5BE-Plus? got version 1.02 for plus? I though only P5BE got version 1.01 and 1.02 and got some performance diff btw the two...
I am confuse now ...can some1 enlighten me? ( I am noob at Asus C2D mobo)
If plus version had 1.02 and got diff as in 1.01 like P5BE did...I might scrap off my plan to upgrade....

after reading XS, Asus P5B-E Plus all = C2. while Asus P5B-E v1.02 above all = C2. Asus P5B-DLX v1.04 above all = C2. (might not be correct, keep in mind)

Why Asus is better in OC?? its cheaper then DS4 though..

currently p5b-e plus only got 1.01g if not mistaken..some r c1,some r c2..
while p5b-e 1.02g almost same as p5b-e plus except black pcb and solid cap

Is my 2.8GHZ E6300 Idle at 54c and load @ 68c acceptable....Will it burn my CPU ?

didn't really know about this c1 vs c2 debate. asked uncle google, and this is what i found from anandtech website.

"Does this mean the P965 C2 stepping is a failure? Certainly not, but we believe the perceived improvements were way over-hyped -- or maybe the information provided was simply misunderstood? We do expect to see great results from this chipset in the near future but those results will occur due to improved motherboard and BIOS designs, not due to the minor changes made in the latest stepping."

So why is it bad luck getting the c1 stepping again? Please enlighthen me.

hrm... this P5B-E Plus vdroop really serious. bios = 1.325v, real = 1.216.
but seems to be stable. running 333 x 9, 3-3-3-10 2.25v (1:1) which is 3GHz. super-pi = 17.953 without hassle. orthos now just want to see whether such low vcore can or not. lol

set FSB to 400 and multiplier set to 2x, PCI-E set 100.
With stock vCore 2.8Ghz no prob

yea exactly...last time my E6300 w25 450 X 7@stock vcore.... 15H Orthos Test passed

guys, noob question....

how to adjust fan speed of intel stock HSF? I try using TAT if under 100% load temp reach 75C!!! also i can hear the tiny whirrr of fan at that moment.......i think probably max fanspeed reached

but i wanna prolong my proc life so can I throttle my fan to run faster? (somthing like Rivatuner i can set my fanspeed 80/90/100%)
