Did u oversize the tire over the stock rim? Stock macam 195/50 but you use 205/45?
T1R is soft ah? How many ply sidewall constructions?

Ahh I can't remember, it's been couple of years now. My assumption says made from M. Huge problem that I faced with the tyres was the soft side wall.

Nope the current T1R tires are 195/50. But I'm planning to change to 205/45 for the next one. Not sure about the ply sidewall but I tried to search and gotten BW?

Look at the physical tyres, there got cop sidewall how many plies use polyester or nylon or aramid or steel
then compare compare when u buy other tyres
press press the feeling can tell sidewall stiffness
u want more grip of same size, check speed rating, higher speed rating more grip but faster wear
oversize tyre also need see suit the rim width or not, different model can some cannot, may end up need lower pressure to even out the wear rate on the side becoz tyre donut shape
also, oversize puts more load outer edge of tyre, may got reverse effect more slide if that become too extreme

Time to change my CRV OE tire BS HL33 235/60R18.
Am looking at UC6 SUV or equivalent.
Will skip Michelin despite many good reviews. Reasons are I used 4 sets of Michelin before n present from PSS, PS3, Primacy SUV, Primacy ST. No doubt they good. But all need to be replace even way before they are botak due to peeling, cracking etc.

u are right
me have same issue with Michelin, at first thought the tyres are bad
but, I figured as long as it maintain good grip until botak, is better than tyre looking good but start losing grip gradually
now I live with it

Consider Falken 832i.
One of the best budget tires if you google around.

gotta be a user to believe it
also it's pricier, but in my limited experience the mileage and grip all the way until end of tyre life is worth it

Why go shopee? If want just direct call or go to main Falken Distributor (Stamford) to order bru..
Most local tire ship also can help order as SN832i tire is quite common.

was recommended Sunwide ,LEAO for Rm500/pc & Roadmarch for Rm650/pc...... Maxxis one cost about 700++ & Falken 800++

I'm in Sarawak so the price is higher than Peninsular definitely.

Is there any performance difference between normal tires and "Extra Load' tires within the same range.. Eg standard PS4 and PS4 ST (Extra Load)?

Hi all, roughly how much do shops charge for (expert) tire inspection - to decide if right time to change or not? I live in KL.

It is a norms in KL there is no charges for inspecting tyre condition (with eyes only) response to your question/concern.

However, if labour works are involved say 'to do balancing' on tyres etc, then charges is incurred.

Tell the shop: Boss, ini tayar berapa lama/bulan/tahun lagi bolih pakai ahh? ..... then make your own decision.

Note: On a normal functioning tyre, tyre manufacturers across the world only recommends the replacement of tyres under 2 conditions:
a )tyre wear has touched the Tyre Wear Indicator mark inside the longkang (at a tread depth of 1.6 mm), or
b )tyre manufacturing week/year displayed on its side is 10 years or older.
Hairline cracks/scratches and what not are NOT a basis of tyre replacement, as often understood.

Care to upload pictures on external conditions on tyres?
