Dont mind to try, but not sure if i can handle difficult customers in SG.

Plus i feel turn over for bank sales staff is very high (based on my experience in MY)

It is high and challenging, which is why you will find openings easier
Less challenging jobs with low turnover, you wont find many of these available for foreigners

If you dont mind doing sales, that should be easier to get
Banking/insurance sales are still highly in demand i believe

Singapore customers are very demanding one you know. You need to have thicker face and learn how to lick boots if you want to sell financial products. Many high net worth customers here.

For income tax, what is the typical rate for a resident? I'm soon moving there and let say my salary is about 3k, approximately how much would my income tax be?

Refer to IRAS website:- IRAS

There are 2 rates, resident and non-resident,
depending if you're in Singapore for 183 days for that years.
If I'm not mistaken, it's only a few percent with resident rates. With 36k/year,
your tax with resident rates comes up to a 410 dollars.
With non-resident rates, about S$8.1k.
There's still debate on how is it calculated though.

What is comfortable? Landed terrace house & two cars? Then I think you probably need around $300k per annum.

Put yourself in our shoe. HOW are we going to answer such a broad question?

You have to refine your question. For a start define 'comfortable' in your standard

nope, still single.

saving as much before heading home is the objective when I first step foot in this little red-dot. so working towards low and doable living expenses is the first step to start.

my expenses $1300/mth (all-in) is doable due to location of stay, work, restricted weekend spending in neighbourhood malls only. location is the key word here. for me stay (bk pjg), work (sg kadut) are consider low krass areas, not CDB status, eventually food, transport, dressing, make-up, heels, handbags, hair-do need not be above average. so-so will do thumbsup.gif icon_idea.gif .

only go downtown once a month, with proper budgeting, I can still manage to do 2x per year SEA travel (a way to reward myself) icon_rolleyes.gif

p/s '0' luxury living for the past 6yrs. brows.gif bangwall.gif
