QUOTE(herojack41 @ Jul 3 2016, 07:40 PM) two unifi connection in 1 BTU? The BTU in my Auntie's restaurant has 4 Ethernet ports. Lan 1 is not used. Guess it's reserved for UniFi. Lan 2 & 3 are used for her 2 accounts from Ohana.but yeah...i saw the BTU has 2 LAN ethernet port, 1 which is already in use by me. so i assume the second 1 is for another unifi account? |

QUOTE(jusbella @ Jul 2 2016, 07:50 PM) Hi Bro, are u sure ASTRO IPTV is using dedicated bandwidth (2mbps) and does not impact broadband speed we subscribing for ? So we do speedtest example for 10mbps we get full bandwidth or atleast 70% ?If using dedicated bandwidth 2mbps why not ASTRO just offer IPTV without bundling with MAXIS FIBER BROADBAND.. I see they still need bandwidth from broadband we subscribe.. otherwise they so generous giving free extra 2Mbps to run IPTV, without interfering our broadband speed ? how to monitor the IPTV speed then, the consumption is just in the range of 2mbps ? Doesn't shooting up during HD channels viewing ? Doesn't slow down internet ? |

Yes it's using dedicated bandwidth. I'm not sure Maxis give what speed for astro iptv.
Because you subscribe astro iptv you'll get 2 login id, one is xxx@maxis.com.my as internet and another is xxxx@iptv.com, so it's means that there is dedicated bandwidth for it... Think about it, if the speed is affected, a lot consumer surely not going to subscribe it, same with hyyptv, hyyptv got a lot channel to subscribe for, it's extra earning for TM, if speed affected I bet nobody will subscribe extra channel already. QUOTE(herojack41 @ Jul 3 2016, 09:37 PM) It's in a commercial area, shopping mall actually, so probably biz package. Ohana.com.my is like Maxis or Celcom, TM infra based providers. Most people have never heard of it.Anyway LAN Port 2 of TM'S BTU is definitely not reserved for Maxis. If anything, I'd say Lan Port 1 is reserved for UniFi and the others are up for grabs. But, you can't check for the speed because this IP is connected directly to Astro, only Astro decoder can access to their server. If using dedicated bandwidth 2mbps why not ASTRO just offer IPTV without bundling with MAXIS FIBER BROADBAND.. QUOTE(SilentForever @ Jul 3 2016, 04:21 PM) They should have it at TMPoint but, to be safe, go to the actual TM TMPoint and not the authorised dealer ones. Why not just try to get TM to replace your RG4332 with a new router for free? You upgraded to the Advance package right? So your warranty should be renewed also. Of course, you have to show that there's a problem if not they might charge you for it.QUOTE(nill @ Jul 3 2016, 06:30 PM) That sucks, hope the upcoming Raya hols doesn't delay the repair. I think a lot of people balik kampung already. |

QUOTE(watabakiu @ Jul 2 2016, 01:51 AM) On what basis TM decides when to suspend Unifi account? Is it once it reaches Credit Limit, or after a missed 1 or 2 payments ? QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 2 2016, 02:23 AM) Usually 2/3 weeks after payment due date. 1 missed payment is all it takes. Nothing to do with the credit limit. QUOTE(Zi-Tech @ Jul 2 2016, 02:36 AM) Can other forumers concur with this?Seems weird that TM provides credit limit, yet suspends an account for missed payments (even though it hasn't reach credit limit yet).. |

From the horse's mouth. https://www.tm.com.my/Home/Broadband/unifi/...redit_Limit.pdfSeems weird that TM provides credit limit, yet suspends an account for missed payments (even though it hasn't reach credit limit yet).. It's like your credit card, you still have to pay your monthly dues even though you have a credit limit that more than covers it. |

Credit limit is for other usage (for example calls). Bills sure must settle, that's their practice.

QUOTE(watabakiu @ Jul 4 2016, 12:55 AM) Can other forumers concur with this? They have credit grading system.. A, B, C.. and D. Seems weird that TM provides credit limit, yet suspends an account for missed payments (even though it hasn't reach credit limit yet).. Always pay on time, grade A. One time you pay late, still OK, maybe graded B. Sometimes you pay late, maybe C. If you always pay late, D, they will cut the moment billing month come. At least this is what I saw they use for Streamyx billing and credit limit is used to terminate your subscription. After past credit limit they will send you red letter, whether to pay bill to retain or auto terminate in a week (final bill). This post has been edited by nymerine: Jul 4 2016, 08:13 AM |
