Surprised I also got the 10MB/s free upgrade. Wonder why got no big announcement on their website or news portals. Really all customers go 30 already ah?

QUOTE(limjenson @ Jun 28 2016, 01:14 PM) TM getting more and more desperate to upgrade me from VIP5 to Advance30. I got RM179 offer a few times, kept rejecting. They never gave RM169 though.1st time, offer standard package 2nd time, offer RM199 with free 600 minute calls 3rd time, offer Rm169 without free call. I wonder if I wait will get free upgrade or not. Then last week they gave free upgrade to VIP10. No complaints man. Most importantly I don't spend more. |

QUOTE(CTU @ Jun 30 2016, 12:55 PM) Hye everyone. Too late di, now their cheapest package is RM199 not including GST. Unless you live in condo, then TIME etc. would be good.I am using unifi 10 mbps and paying rm210.95 including gst monthly. I started using on 1 may 2014 so my contract is finish. I want to know is there a cheaper package that i can downgrade to becoz its hitting me hard in my wallet rite now. My in laws subscribe to unifi 5mbps rm160 including gst after me. I want to take that package but i can't find anything about it on d unifi website. Is d package no more? Please help advise me. Very appreciated. Tq It may be possible if you know someone on cheaper package to transfer their account to your home. A lot of hassle though. Alternatively look at maxis (go read complaints in this forum first). Or just reapply new packages, pay same price, get new devices, and speed up to 30. Suspect you more interested in saving money though.... can't really help that one. |

Credit limit is for other usage (for example calls). Bills sure must settle, that's their practice.

QUOTE(wongsf @ Jul 12 2016, 09:17 AM) More likely your computer/laptop wireless card is old g standard or something. No point get the best router if your wireless chip in your laptop is 4 years old.Try using your smartphone to speed test (assuming you have something within last 2 years). |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 13 2016, 04:18 PM) Wah, Huawei WS880 is a sexy looking router. That's a separate USB modem. So you put in your 4g sim card and use the ws880 to share that connection by wifi. I wonder how does this work? Turn your pocket into a Wi-Fi hotspot. Pair your WS880 with the WS151 wireless adaptor and access an ultra fast Internet browsing experience for your desktop and laptop. Both the WS880 and WS151 support 802.11ac Wi-Fi in the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands. http://consumer.huawei.com/en/smart-home/w...es/ws880-en.htm Not relevant for Unifi users. |

QUOTE(ComradeZ @ Jul 18 2016, 02:11 PM) Hey guys, You missed the WS880 deal for RM199. Still got thread here someone wanna sell for higher price though. Unfortunately if you really need strong connection can't really go for 'affordable' router. My parents just applied 100mbps unifi and they're using wifi since the TV is in the area of dining table on the 2nd floor and their room in first floor. (they're not strong enuff to walk up stairs) Run some tests and found out that they've been using 10-20% of the speed from their wifi. Even after the unifi guy came and switch it to the "further channel" of the wifi (his words not mine). So my question is what kind of affordable router should I go for? ps: my mom hates messy cable lying around the floor (she always trip on it) , is why they use wifi Alternative is to buy a simple router and put it near to them by using a very long LAN cable (go through the corners so that not in the way). |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 20 2016, 11:20 AM) Yeah, many have received by batches. I also got mine some time back, just change lo. It is for fire protection if I'm not wrong. Power adapter for the modem or for the router? You know Malaysia, if it is not serious, they won't simply change for you. Some more from TM, so rare right? |

QUOTE(deathTh3Cannon @ Jul 26 2016, 10:53 AM) just installed 30mbps unifi.. contractor do work like shyt.. just dump the modem, connect and go.. they do not test for full house coverage? mohon pencerahan.. Why is full house coverage their business? You tell them where to put the modem and router, they do. As long as the route got internet your device on wifi 200m away not their problem. If your house big enough for this to be a problem then buy another router and drag a lan cable from your main router. |
