Just ask for TM agents around. But, I recommend you to take Maxis Fiber instead. Maxis Fiber has a very fast speed and dun have issues like TM, always has problem browsing websites, youtube always buffering, undersea cable broken, tie you with Hypptv and telephone number, etc.
The only thing you must tell the maxis installer is to ask them to install your wifi router right at the central of your house, no matter how much they want to charge you for. Because I wasted a lot of time and money to complain and complain, finally the technician came and move my router at the middle of my house and Astro IPTV box is put at my living room. There will be some charges but it is worth if not your WiFi internet will be like shit.
*
What I heard is the other way round, Maxis Fibre sucks and worse than UniFi. That's the reason I signed up for UniFi that time though the price I paid for VIP5 equalled to 10Mbps for Maxis. A search on this section will show that Maxis is worse. Not sure now.

For Unifi 30, what is the optimal MTU value? Is that system specific, location specific?
...
Don't tell me DL has changed all that and has not updated the manual like their password = "blank" error!
...

It's PPP specific. Why, is explained in the doc below which I've read but not understand. blink.gif But basically it's 1500-6-2=1492.

All blue and pretty now. No more orange menus.

Parents place just got the free upgrade from VIP5 to VIP10.

Meanwhile I still deciding whether to upgrade to Adv30 for 169 b4 GST.

199 is the current price,
I'm paying 179 which is nice,
169 is just less a little bit,
But it's the lowest so far so just go for it.

Yes, but Maxperts are experts now. I used to have that kind of issue before but after the maxperts helped me to change the location, I can get high speed wifi everywhere.

Last time at night cannot use, speed dropped tremendously, P2P didn't work except for a time frame. Is it still happening?

During night time, internet will not be usable at all if you use their dns, hence I change the dns in my router to google dns. My speed is always more than 80% as what they promised. Not sure, never use P2P before.

Well I have friends who went for Maxis due to cheaper price and regretted. I don't use P2P too but I know Maxis has this blocking. For me and those I knew made the correct choice to choose UniFi over Maxis.

Ask your friend do your friend need my help. I have no choice to use Maxis because of the Astro IPTV service.

Hoping that maybe after 2years more faster package will be launched and this will remain, like unifi 5Mbps free upgrade to 10Mbps..  brows.gif

TM better do something to upgrade the infrastructure at buildings using VDSL2 (such as VDSL2 vectoring) or better still install fibre. Else, VDSL2 users will end up with only 30Mbps for some time to come.

I wonder if new users still go for Maxis Fiber now since their debacle with their mobile service plan recently...

Thanks a bunch mate! That did the trick.

username: operator
password: Opr@XXXX

It's case sensitive and the X's are the 4 last characters of the MAC address, which you can get from the LAN configuration ( login in to the router like normal with the standard username 'admin' and no password). Now it doesn't feel so cheap anymore biggrin.gif

Me too. When UniFi 30 came around, I had the option of getting it for RM179 or staying on 10mbps and saving a few bucks with Maxis Fibre at RM128. 148-20 since I was a Maxis mobile subscriber.

In the end, after reading a few horror stories here, decided to stay with Unifi.

No probs. I actually gave you the wrong post for the password. Should have been this one.

Let us know how the router performs for you. I personally think it's pretty awesome for RM0.

Not sure if it has improved over the years. I haven't been keeping in touch with friends who are using Maxis Fibre. Last I read that it was still horrible. Hopefully they have improved in order to stay in competition. laugh.gif

VDSL2 Vectoring is not an cost effective solution if you considered long term. It could barely support over 100Mbps while FTTH are capable to support 1Gbps. FTTH is still a better solution than VDSL

First time someone reported from VIP10 to VIP20. All earlier reported cases were for VIP5 to VIP10. Yeah, they are giving free upgrades. Enjoy your speed. biggrin.gif Thanks to pressure from TIME.

By the way, how much are you paying now? Some were called to free upgrade to Advance 30 but I guess this will refresh contract because they called and offered not auto upgrade.

Not sure. But many people got free upgrade from VIP 5 to VIP 10.
