QUOTE(plumberly @ Jun 14 2016, 04:11 PM) Congratulations on your toy! 3x Gigabit port for other stuffI thought there are 4 ports on the 850L with port 4 for HypTV. Not using the TV and use it as a normal LAN port? Using Unifi 30? Possible to get the average Mbps for each of the PC and mobile users from the router? Just curious on the individual speed especially on the mobile. Thanks. 1x Port for HyppTV only Port for hypptv cannot be used like a normal lan port. I'm using Advance 100. As I'm not home just yet, I can only give this screenshot from my phone. |

QUOTE(pappasera @ Jun 14 2016, 05:42 PM) Same here. Can't even stream on high quality setting. Emailed TM about it and they asked me for pingplotter result. I bet their routing to twitch site is messed up atm QUOTE(zher4883 @ Jun 14 2016, 05:44 PM) All routing towards SG is beyond fucked up right now, probably applicable for AWS. My connection is being routed through France then SG. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jun 15 2016, 01:18 AM) When you first got it, did you use it? Can it handle bittorrent well? I'm wondering how much free ram and hence connections that it can take. I tried up to 300 connections (150 active) on a torrent, it works fine but slightly increased latency, like 8 to 20 or 30ms. But we entirely ban torrenting in house so it's not a common thing I use. I also tried updating my game, War Thunder which is known for its killer P2P updater, still works fine. This post has been edited by nymerine: Jun 15 2016, 01:26 AM |

QUOTE(watabakiu @ Jul 4 2016, 12:55 AM) Can other forumers concur with this? They have credit grading system.. A, B, C.. and D. Seems weird that TM provides credit limit, yet suspends an account for missed payments (even though it hasn't reach credit limit yet).. Always pay on time, grade A. One time you pay late, still OK, maybe graded B. Sometimes you pay late, maybe C. If you always pay late, D, they will cut the moment billing month come. At least this is what I saw they use for Streamyx billing and credit limit is used to terminate your subscription. After past credit limit they will send you red letter, whether to pay bill to retain or auto terminate in a week (final bill). This post has been edited by nymerine: Jul 4 2016, 08:13 AM |

Hey guys, I used to live in this one apartment. All surrounding area already have unifi coverage except apartments building in this area.
My friend tried applying UniFi but they were denied because of building issue, they said the building is using copper infrastructure, they unable to provide unifi since these cables only support up to 1-2Mbps, which is true since my friend only have 2mbps streamyx there. So, this is kinda out of TM's jurisdiction right? Although this is the issue, ground floor still can apply for UniFi for extra cost, they pull out fiber straight from MDF room to units. MDF rooms are located at the ground floor of each building. Nearby apartments are also having the same issue, but they have special package for them, where UniFi package for 10-20Mbps are made available since not all units support UniFi latest package, but the units at least support vdsl instead of previous apartment. |

QUOTE(OKLY @ Aug 11 2016, 05:56 PM) But ridiculous for them to calculate this way only for the 30mbps plan while others are seeing the correct mbps reading in speedtest according to their plan. e.g. 50mbps, 100mbps. Use this website to check your capped data rate.. 1100000Kbps for me.Go to website, go to Downloading, download any choice 1mb file works too. http://202.188.95.247/iemt/ This post has been edited by nymerine: Aug 11 2016, 07:16 PM |

QUOTE(hashtag2016 @ Aug 19 2016, 01:46 AM) Thanks for sharing. Sorry for the bad quality audio, I only had phone in possession to do all the recordings during that time. Obviously these information are not for end users but rather enthusiast, so the xPON technologies they're going to apply in future are good information. I have no comment regarding transparencies. btw, video and audio quality is too lousy (view with 1080p). Not much useful info in the video. quite a waste of time to me. I think nobody care about which PON technology they gonna use for new UNIFI users. If anybody wanna sign-up UNIFI , they only care about where, and when TM are going to deploy it. Obviously, they currently deploy it in a very passive way. All Malaysian can only "checking" their address in TM website to know valid or not currently. no transparency at all. since they got the money support from the gov, i think people have the right to know where is the HSBB2 and SUB URBAN areas they refer to(which area? which town?) ? and when they will proceed it ? We always heard about it, but, seems that nobody ever saw their schedule, everything is in the mist. For the users in non-unifi area (/streamxy user) , Seems that, they plan to use their own VDSL2 variant to be the successor of current ADSL technology. but bad karma still waiting for them in next decade (from my understanding). anyway, the those poor users finally can get rid of the slow slow 384kbps upload speed. coz, the most 2 irritatting problems of streamyx (for decade) is not cause by technology itself. The unreasonable congestion in so called "peak hour" (even u paid a very high price for it) and The unfair treatment to different users (too many promo price for new users, but not for existing users, they can only waiting for the "lucky call"??what the f??? ) they can change the technology, they can change the package name, yet it's role still remain. some kind of Good Kid vs. Bad Kid thing... streamyx , bad kid, expensive. UNIFI, good kid, expensive too. which one u gonna choose? p.s.: the info of vdsl between 00:40:00 and 00:46:00 in the video stream. there is a flash back moment b4 , i do like it . For more information regarding the new VDSL2-Vectoring, do check this thread, we discussed little bit on it in that thread https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=3950235 . Congestion wise, probably something had to do with their local exchange, I had no problem during anytime in my place. Again, no comment regarding packages or branding, as long they delivers. |
