QUOTE(Deal Hunter @ Jun 30 2016, 12:57 AM) Big boss says to his financial people, "You say this special promo paying monthly interest at 4.3% p.a ending this March is worth catching for 6 months. Just scrape the loose funds around and see whether you can place 5 million. If short a bit, no problem, can top-up. When can we do it?" too deep, boss. so look for lucky day and loose interest waiting for it? "Give us some time to arrange things, and meet any unexpected problems. Probably near end of month, can even at the end at last day as good kawan with bank manager." Big boss says, "OK, I mark Monday 28, Tuesday 29, Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 March 2016 for standby for the the good day?" "All days good, boss" "What no special good luck day like 28?" "Err, only one bad day." "Oh what day is that and how bad can it be?" If you can work this one out and answer, it means you are beginning to glimpse/grasp what could be called the time factor problem - something most people are not aware of when doing time dependent calculations. |

Guys, need some advice for the MBB eFD Flexi campaign premature withdrawal.
- No interest shall be paid for eFD that has not completed its 2 months full tenure period. - For eFD’s uplifted after the completion of the first 2 months period, interest shall be half (1/2) the campaign rate for the completed number of days until premature withdrawal or closing of account. - For eFD’s that has been uplifted before maturity, the interest paid front will be deducted from the principal amount. For clause number 2, is that means if 3.4% for 1st 6 months become 1.7%? Clause number 3, is that means the interest that credited for us it will deduct half from the principal, if we uplift premature? Am I translate correctly or ? |

hi sifu, so 1 of the FD (joint name with mom) is going to mature in the next 2 week. never really pay attention to the rate until i stumbled to this wonderful thread about the needs of getting good rate
my question is if we want to withdraw the matured FD, what's the process like? and does it has to be done on certain date or before the mature date in order to avoid penalty? and do we usually withdraw it in bank draft form or ? |

Do not withdraw earlier. Up to you. If you are like me carry cash, then withdraw fully in cash. If uou feel insecure, use bank draft.my question is if we want to withdraw the matured FD, what's the process like? and does it has to be done on certain date or before the mature date in order to avoid penalty? and do we usually withdraw it in bank draft form or ? |
