Noob question, how to use banker's cheque for FD? Pay to own name right?
*
Pay to own name and own ic no. Then bring the banker's cheque to the bank of your choice. Tell them I want to put FD at this rate. Present them your banker's cheque.

1) how did u make your placement? over the counter?
2) when did you make the placement?
3) how did you derive the profit is 4.1% p.a.?
4) when was the profit credited?

as a general rule, you SHOULD ALWAYS call the respective whenever have queries. only then post here to ask for 2nd opinions, etc.

repeat or existing customer lower rates.
fresh fund higher rates.
that's what the teller told me.
if you withdraw your FD out and come back within same day, they can close one eye and accept as fresh fund.
kekeke.
so silly.

I have transferred my matured Hong Leong (HL) FD to current HL Islamic FD 6 months FD promotion and only entitled 4.1%.

I didnt realize it should be 4.15% for 6 months HL Islamic until i checked out over here.

Any idea why I was only given 4.1% and not 4.15%?

Can i email/call HL Islamic customer service and ask for clarification?
*
The 4.15% was last month's promo rates. The promo wasn't available at my Mach account anymore. They auto renewed my fd to 3.3%. So I think I will be transferring mine to another bank.

frens,

wanna ask those who have placed the KFH FD promotion 12m @4.35%
with upfront interest:

Do you get the upfront interest same day you place the FD or must go back another day?

Do u need open Savings account?

Quite a hassle as i have closed my SA previously. and troublesome go back again just to take the interest.
*
i got my interest a few days later, into KFH savings account.
It worth the trouble

everytime I do the MBB GIA, they always have this questionnaire to fill out.

Does it matter how we answer the questionnaire?
I clicked all disagree, except the last question, "do you wish to proceed?" which I clicked yes.

12 mths normal FD, interest given on maturity, no special T&C, eligible for PIDM, no need to open CASA, auto renewal after expiry at board rate.
Just sit back and wait for interest 1 year later.....
