jc79...i think the main culprit that cause ur p535 to hang is the ce-star..wat version r u using?..

i have this ce-star installed and then at the same time i have spb mobile shell and pocket plus running..evtime when my spb backup finish run and restart the pda...it will hang at the today screen...at the end i have to uninstall this ce-star and evthing back to normal..no more hang..

i did try monster sip by maction..still same..it will hang the pda as well...as i know..my bro-in law using p525...he has this asus chinese font patch which after he patch the wm5 then can read chinese font edi..i try to patch on my p535..can read chinese font but still my pda will hang whenever restart sad.gif

Hi Dokidoki,

Beside the 2 versions that u mentioned, do u have any other chinese input program can suggest.
Currently I'm using version 2.80..also got a lot problem with it.

By the Way, I have uninstall the CE-Star, but after uninstalling. my P535's button got no responce..
So, I have to restore my back-up back to with CE-Star..

Sigh..Problem

As far as I know for PPC, it will use phone memory for storing contacts. But you can manually transfer it to simcard using sim manager application.

A little off-topic to the question but I think this is a good utility.

http://www.brobinson.net/blog/?p=23

I had wanted to transfer my SIMs to PDA Memory

It will copy all of the contacts in your SIM and then convert it to OUTLOOK contact. Works great! During the conversion, it appears to 'hang' but actually it is doing the conversion in the background. I have about 250 contacts in my SIM and it took about 2.5 to 3 minutes for the entire transfer. It appears to have hang but leave it for a while, it will do its job.

For your case, it is the reverse. Haven't tried it but it's worth the try.

When a system crash...no choice..really have to hard reset.  sad.gif ..yes u lost everthing except the core windows CE and ASUS package softwares such as biz card reader, GPS driver, voice recogniser & etc. But too bad Mapping softwares (Not GPS driver) will be deleted too i.e ur Mapking or Garmin Que.

The Mapking is FOC anyway & comes wth provided CD so installing & re-keying ur license key should not be a problem...Garmin Que & GPS proxy..u hv to re-setup again....Thats' are the 2 important software u need.

BTW, I hv been hard resetting P535 numerous time...yes u might need atleast 1-2 hours to get important softwares installed..well for faster operation why not..another important thing to do after hard resetting & installing core softwares: PLS backup themoment u got it rite!...and subsequent to this u can even hard reste every few weeks & keep on uploading ur backup file & that's very fast..only 15min... biggrin.gif

Hi,

Is Mapking comes with provided CD? I got only 3 CDs Getting started CD, Bonus CD and skype CD only.

And what do you mean re-keying ur license key. Where I can get license key? Is it the one on CD cover?

Thanks

The serial number is normally on a sticker either on the booklet or the CD cover
