After reading this forum tread, I decided to buy ASUS 535 on Hari Raya night haha, it is nice.

I bought at lowyat RM2100 with 2G and flip leather case.

But I have one question,

How can I add more buttons in button setting? So far I can see only two buttons which are Bswitch button and voice command button? Can I change call history button and contact button and also OK button?

For example, I want call history change to Start and Bswitch button to switch between running application?

Please help me and Thanks

Hi P353 friend,

I still trying 353 features, I am happy with GPS and mapking, but I fail to connect to internet via Bluetooth.

I have laptop connecting to internet via network card, and then I have external Bluetooth. Can I connect my 535 to the internet via my laptop Bluetooth?

I did try it many times but I got error message, but my Bluetooth sync is ok.

May you help me to achieve this.... Thanks

I tried to connect to internet via my laptop Bluetooth following this two ways but both ways are failed.

Fist way:-

I on my both my Bluetooth on my laptop and 535

Then I search for new device on my laptop using BlueSoleil software.

I can see P535 and double click on it (pair them).

The icons services will be activated...I click on Bluetooth Personal Area Networking service icon.

I will get authorization request on my 535... I click accept ...

On my laptop it shows "*assigning IP address, please wait"... after while it will connected...

I can see two local area icons both are connected on my laptop.

In my 535 I click on Bluetooth manager, under active connections tab, I can see my laptop network and the status is connected.

I start my IE and go to yahoo.com or any URLs I got this "the page cannot be found. Check the name and try again."


Second try I did this...

On P535 I click on Bluetooth manager, then new -> from connection wizard I click on connect to a network then I select my laptop -> then new box asking for connection name then I click on finish.

I will got authorization request on my laptop I click OK then my 535 will ask for

User name:
Password:
Domain:

I key in my laptop username and password for Domain I left blank then I clicked ok
After dialing: connect... showing for while.

I will get error message
Connection failed
Detail
Connect established
Time-out waiting to connect

May be I make mistake in username and password; it is laptop username and password or network username and password. Regarding domain what should I key in?

Yes I istall the CD that came with P535...

I delete All partnerships and setting ...

I pair my device with my PC using bluesoleil. i can see sync blaa blaa blaa... happen on Microsoft sync and all my contact update.

BUT no magic happen after that I go to IE and open URL "Page can't be loaded"

y would u wanna use ur PPC to connect to internet when u can use ur PC?
I need to use IM(YM MSN...) while Watching TV so I dont like to bring my laptop and charger sooo onnn..

Appreciate if u can help me

I followed your steps but I still can't get it work.

My you guide my step by step...
What should I do on my laptop and what should I do on my P535?
What should I see on Active connections? And what I well see on my taskbar?
Do I need to change anything on my P535 IE?

Added on October 21, 2007, 11:28 amYaa, I noted that if you set your picture size to 1600*1200 you can't use the zoom. It should be like that?! Or some thing wrong with it?!

I also facing same problem hang but one day 2 to 3 times, I am not sure is it because of new software that I install or because of WM6. I try to remove some software but still not 100% stable. One of reason I think is alarm, because I set my alarm 7am everyday. Everyday I wakeup my 535 is hang (I can see green light but no respond if I click any button). Sometime hang when I run more than one application. Some time hang just like that.

I still have 26M about 50% free on my memory and 1600M free on MiniSD CPU mode Auto.

Any suggestion?

If I do hard reset by going to system>default setting all install software will be deleted right?

I don't care about all software but I need mapking and GPS software only. Can I backup it or I can download full one from the net? Or is it provided by ASUA website?

Is Mapking comes with provided CD? I got only 3 CDs Getting started CD, Bonus CD and skype CD only.

And what do you mean re-keying ur license key. Where I can get license key? Is it the one on CD cover?

I did hard rest to my P535 myself and install all software myself. It was interesting experience. BUT I can't get mapking software. I want to PAD expert at lowyat and reinstall mapking only within 5 minutes. Now my P535 is working fine.

Anyway, I have small problem, In power setting I set "turn of device if not use for 1 minute". It turns off after one minute. But when I turn on my device again "click on power button" it will show "today page". I want the system to show the last page before it turn off. For example, I am running Microsoft reader and reading some ebook. After while not use, my device will turn off, when I turn on again my device I want to see the last page which is Microsoft reader not today page. My current setting always show today page when ever in on my device.

Do I need to change some setting or install some software?
