I think FW meant for Firmware, probably that was radio firmware installer not the OS installer

Where can I purchase the external GPS antenna for the p535?

How much is the cost?

I notice that the PDA becomes very hot when using it for GPS tracking during the day. Need to put it away from direct sunlight.
That is the reason why I need to attach the external antenna.

I have similar hanging problems.. but I dare not put anything on the switch as one of the forum member broke it..
I just added a slim cardboard on top of battery as u sugggested.
So far, no more hanging.

well it depends on what are yo looking for

Probably the bulkyness and the methods of SMSing... the best you can get to normal sms is a program called Touch Keyboard.. if you are used to windows mobile sms techniques then its a good go...
overall a cheap and good phone. look out for the battery lifetime though... not like normal phones.. maybe will last you 2 days only depends on how you use it.

Many tweaks must be applied before it becomes a stable phone. the X button does not close the application but it minimizes the application. You must end the process somewhere else..

if u flash the phone to a non official 6.1 rom , can u change ur mind later and flash it back to the official ones ?

You can go back to official version by flashing it back using ROM from the Asus Support site.

Upgraded to WM6.1 from PDAmobiz, damn stable with all the things we want inside. Installed a Touch keyboard and walla a perfect p5353 . If anyone's phone turn off automatically try to check the casing sensor After mod and fixes, this phone doesnt auto turn off anymore. And for the hang's sometimes it happens but a soft reset will fix it. Smartphones are prone to hanging... so its normal. Satisfied with the GPS signal capturing time also... quite fast and big screen helps GPS navigation hehe...

how come my asus p535 the battery bar icon everyday show 99% even go batt or no batt i also dunno and i hard rest it alreadys still the same how come any way to slove this problem ?

Go for PDAMobiz 6.1 or wm6.5. Look for WWE (world wide english).

jcheok2 - i am assuming its an 'ahem' garmin for u to need to ask that question. pretty hard to answer that on an open forum dont u think?

anyone who has used asus p526. does it work with garmin mobile xt. I've installed it at one of the phone shop in lowyat. but it doesn't work.

wm 6.5 works on the asus p535 but after installing the ROM , it leaves about 14mb free ram ... not much to play with .. gave it up

go with the pdamobiz wm6.1 rom with spb mobile shell 3.5 for best results - a zippy phone with the mobile shell interface
