Overall look and spec is quite good only without 3G (who cares...) but allocation of button in front a bit weird (my own opinion).

As far as I know for PPC, it will use phone memory for storing contacts. But you can manually transfer it to simcard using sim manager application.

If Mapking you just go to official site for mapking. But you must remember, you need a new map license for different country (I mean you must pay for the new map license).

Garmin Que show a 2D GUI and Mapking was a 3D GUI, Garmin Mobile XT was the latest 3D GUI Navigation software from Garmin for PDA, Symbian and Palm but it work only with Garmin BT GPS or you need to purchase SD card from Garmin for built-in GPS PDA like P535.

Just got my P535 2 days ago, and currently quite happy with it. x) I rather use garmin than mapking actually but i malas wan to unlock the latest garmin maps. at least mapking has slightly updated and open maps in malsingmaps.

For your info Mapking are open map because you need to buy the map license in order to use the map.

If you use it all day long off course it will drain out the battery faster.

If you already have Mapking license for Malaysia, just download the mapking map file from malsingmaps.com. No need unlock code for mapking user because unlock code applied for Garmin user only.

Just to share my experience using GPS Proxy with my P525. May be bro Stimix will have better explanation since he using the same device as yours.

It is normal when you add the virtual com port it will give another com port eg. current COM3 when you add it will be COM5. No need to remove them. I remember keeping 3 virtual port COM0, COM5 and COM8.

Yes, you need to overwrite the original v2.2 with v2.2c

For setting:

Extensions -> NMEA INPUT -> Configure -> GPS COM PORT -> COM7(BT COM port)
I thick the "Log Input" and "Mirror GPS Input to Output Port"
Extensions -> NMEA INPUT -> Configure -> OUTPUT COM PORT -> COM5(GPSProxy Device)
Extensions-> Garmin Protocol Output - > Configure -> COM8(GPSProxy Device)

In Garmin Que Interface I select COM8 port.
