Just tested the Map King 2007 on my way home just now... It took a long time to get the signal from gps... i think more than 10 minutes....

It's not the only model with SiRF Star III chipset. 1 model I can think of which I've used before with the same chipset is the Dopod P800w.

I downloaded 1 version of the plugin but it cannot work with my P535?

Asus's after sales service is not bad. Experienced it firsthand when I went to the outlet at Jln Imbi. Friendly and professional service.

After reading this forum tread, I decided to buy ASUS 535 on Hari Raya night haha, it is nice.

I bought at lowyat RM2100 with 2G and flip leather case.

But I have one question,

How can I add more buttons in button setting? So far I can see only two buttons which are Bswitch button and voice command button? Can I change call history button and contact button and also OK button?

For example, I want call history change to Start and Bswitch button to switch between running application?

Check AE Button Plus out. It enables u to remap virtually all ur buttons (including the Green/Red call buttons).

How to play rmvb file with P535? in which dierectory should i put the file?

Currently there's no support for RMVB files on PPC's. The closest u'll get is by using Realone Player v1.1 which MAY be able to support SOME .RM files.

I feel the same way as u dude. I assume ur using WM6? I didn't face this problem when I was using WM5 previously.

The default size is medium which is the balance between small but not TOO small of the today items and big but not TOO big of the messaging font size. Tipping the size of the fonts either to the left or the right will ruin this balance as u have seen.

To me, medium is still the best.

I planning to buy asus P535. But P750 need to coming out from market. I dislike the style of P750. What you all thnk? P535 best or P750 best? How about the battery of P535, can last long?

Both having same speed. but P750 having all sort of connectivities which P535 dun hv such as 3G & radio.

Battery life...Running on idle auto speed and only on phone function 4 days. On full GPS - 5hours. On BT but no GPS~1-2days. So its all depending on how u use.

b4 i use , large text size, but my text msg is medium, but now i change it all medium text size, then change back to large text size then , in today page is normal, but text msg all become large , can anyway to make the text msg using medium text size? i mean today page is using large, and msg txt using medium can do like this?

Collected my phone P535 today n just learning it. Came with Windows Mobile 6. It is still charging ..... Can't wait to fully learn it and use.

No Mapking 2007 came with this one. But I think I can get them to install some GPS maps for me if I want to later. I am going to try Garmin Que first.

2 years warranty seems to be better for RM80 more. But make sure the warranty covers what u expect. There are some crappy warranty which don't mean a thing at all, so find out the details before buying.

I love the led lights of the buttons, got green red blue white......

I still trying 353 features, I am happy with GPS and mapking, but I fail to connect to internet via Bluetooth.

I have laptop connecting to internet via network card, and then I have external Bluetooth. Can I connect my 535 to the internet via my laptop Bluetooth?

I did try it many times but I got error message, but my Bluetooth sync is ok.

May you help me to achieve this.... Thanks

If i'm not mistaken, normally FG charges an extra 199 for an extra year's warranty. Now the difference only 79 bucks for an extra year's warranty - I feel quite worth it. U know la how stuff tend to break down right after the warranty period over. Furthermore, their coverage is exactly the same as the original warranty. Or so they say la.

First and foremost, I think u mean P535 instead of 353. Regarding ur bluetooth problem, have u established an Activesync connection successfully? Because I don't see why it would let u connect to internet via ur laptop.

Mind posting the error msg here?

I tried to connect to internet via my laptop Bluetooth following this two ways but both ways are failed.

Fist way:-

I on my both my Bluetooth on my laptop and 535

Then I search for new device on my laptop using BlueSoleil software.

I can see P535 and double click on it (pair them).

The icons services will be activated...I click on Bluetooth Personal Area Networking service icon.

I will get authorization request on my 535... I click accept ...

On my laptop it shows "*assigning IP address, please wait"... after while it will connected...

I can see two local area icons both are connected on my laptop.

In my 535 I click on Bluetooth manager, under active connections tab, I can see my laptop network and the status is connected.

I start my IE and go to yahoo.com or any URLs I got this "the page cannot be found. Check the name and try again."


Second try I did this...

On P535 I click on Bluetooth manager, then new -> from connection wizard I click on connect to a network then I select my laptop -> then new box asking for connection name then I click on finish.

I will got authorization request on my laptop I click OK then my 535 will ask for

User name:
Password:
Domain:

I key in my laptop username and password for Domain I left blank then I clicked ok
After dialing: connect... showing for while.

I will get error message
Connection failed
Detail
Connect established
Time-out waiting to connect

May be I make mistake in username and password; it is laptop username and password or network username and password. Regarding domain what should I key in?

Did u mean the pastic/metal casing of the phone or the carrying case? I've seen the carrying case, but not encountered the plastic/metal casing.

The aftermarket carrying case is top/bottom loading, unlike the one that came with the phone, which is side loading.

Check out ebay for some of the accessories. They have 2 types of casing, 3 types of color on silicon skin (black, grey and white), 1600mAh batteries.

Anyone know how much does a screen protector cost for the Asus ? And where to get in Penang? Thanks
