new subscribe of 100mbps and 300mbps probably got this router also, but u have contract 2years with time. This a great deal for the existing customer like me who on Time for 3 years now and no need to add contract for this router. To get this for free is unexpected so far.

The IPTV from Astro cooperate with Time was like total bs. Its main operator from Astro so if no new package can't blame TIME. I'm sure TIME can't do anything about it. And pls wait I think maybe u can get the free router later.

try choose next month, I doubt there is none available time slow next month.

Got the email about the free router on Monday 24 Sept, and will be install on Thursday tomorrow 27 Sept at 10am.

I think you should keep using Archer C9 as your main router. Or probably use the free router as 2nd AP to cover blind spot (if you have any). Archer C9 theoretical 5G wifi speed up to 1300Mbps compare to Archer C1200 which up to 867Mbps only. Only if I have AC1900 router to check how much the speed can reach on TIME fibre.

Later tomorrow after installation will let u know the status. Also will check the boot time.

maybe because you're already puchased from TIME, you will not get the free router. Anyhow, need to ask TIME about it.

Always free as I'm usually infront my PC all the time.

And the speed test probably going to be the same as below. As I'm right now using Archer C5 which almost same spec as Archer C1200, but with only 2 antenna instead of 3 antenna for C1200.
Maybe I will sold it later to fund my new router, want to buy Xiaomi Mi R3P Pro Router AC2600 for testing.

Its all according to TIME upgrade later on. Only got a few days until the end of September but still don't get any news from TIME regarding their new plan or whether there will be going to have one. Hope got 800Mbps from 300Mbps as speed upgrade then can do all the fun router testing later. Got bored of 300Mbps speed from last year already.

Me getting the AC2600 as its price on9 about the same as AC1900. Need to be smart about this as don't have enough budget currently.

Hi, just got the free router Archer C1200.



The boot time was long, about 1min 40sec before the wifi available, and the internet to come back more longer, wait until 3min until can get the internet.

For disconnection issues, its still earlier but so far no intermittent or whatsoever.

And for speedtest, wifi 5Ghz also improves greatly, previous router Archer C5 can only get from 265-280Mbps when tested. But on the free router, can get 290Mbps easily every test. Will do more test when more devices connect to the router later.



And for cable, also got no issues.

Yeah. It is Archer C1200 V1 version. but nonetheless its free and with no nonsense like need to renew contract like unifi. so save money and what a great deal. Because TIME like this, I still loyal to them haha

I also tried to ask the TIME installer that came earlier to install the free router about any rumour they have about maybe new package or speed upgrade. Sadly he said no rumour whatsoever.

They bring the Work Completion Advice Form like when we first time install Time.

Yes the free router using the latest V1 firmware.

just check the router and do a bit of research, TP LINK ARCHER C1200 do not support WDS. But Archer C5 do support it.
