Dear all

To justify the unusual routing problem , we are pledging those who face problem , kindly do test on other isp routing pattern also on similar ping and tracert.

Definitely we are helping , we need more supporting fact to support

Thanks

With Digi mobile:

Now, Digi is just as slow response-wise, but it's because digi's mobile internet is rubbish and can't even get to a SG server without trouble. That said, it takes a direct route to Australia, via singapore, as TIME should!

Now, if I VPN to singapore and perform the same traceroute using TIME:
CODE
Tracing route to 103.4.115.248 over a maximum of 30 hops

11   106 ms   105 ms   105 ms  103.4.115.248

Trace complete.

Again, it takes the direct route that TIME already should be taking.

There's something very wrong going on with how TIME is handling its routing to Australia right now, especially when I can, using a simple, non-gaming / non-performance VPN, literally halve the ping and shorted the hops required to get to the same IP.

Hi, instead of specifying the dns, switch it to "Auto obtain dns from your service provider".

Mayb you need to detail out how is your settings ? There is no reason why it wont work.

Thanks.

Actually I change my laptop dns , then when I switch back to auto obtain the dns , but my router settings seems to misconfigure or somehow.. and I get a constant 192.168.0.1 as my IPv4 default gateway for all my other device .. using time original huawei router

Welcome. I thought I'd check in and see how things were going (after my router query a while back) and was surprised no one follow up with your request.

If you want me to try anything else, let me know.

Hi,

192.168.0.1 as default gateway is correct.

Try to reconfigure your pppoe settings, I will walk you through step by step if you need further help.

You may also screenshot your settings page & email to me, I will help you to check.

Thanks.

Hi Bro,

I agree something's is terribly wrong about the routing, from Malaysia --> Singapore (shld stop here) --> HK--> US --> AU --> back to SG (103.4.115.248)..

Need help !

I just subscribed to time fibre 300Mbps today and need some guidances on how to setup another router to use the same network. I did google search and find out some articles on setting up 2 router to one network but i couldnt find the setting when access to 192.168.0.1. I also cant check others devices which connected to my network. The menu is simple and dont have setting option.

Please guide me step by step on how to setup 2 router via same network. I dont have IT background and not very about what they describe in the articles i search thru google.

I am terminating soon my unifi account and thinking to add my existing unifi router (D-link 615) to the network to help boost up the wifi signal in another room.

Maybe i wish to share my experience about time fibre. I tested the speed using handphone after the technician completed the installation and setup and can get about 150Mbps. They said using LAN should get about 290Mbps. I did not witnessed the LAN speed test conducted by them. The report put up by them shown 250Mbps. I suspect they had throttled the speed after they left my house cause i tested the speed few hours later and can get only 50+ Mbps. I have doubt also about the router they provided (d-link ac1200). 10ft away get 50Mbps and 20ft away get 10Mbps. No obstruction between this two spot. I will takes my time slowly to deal with time support regarding this matter. Anyway the speed definitely is far better compare to my unifi (30Mbps package).

Ur tablet or phone need to support AC to get almost full speed with 5ghz aside using LAN. Get a good pair of home plug to extend ur signal.

300mb should come with Linksys router

Hi Bro,

I agree something's is terribly wrong about the routing, from Malaysia --> Singapore (shld stop here) --> HK--> US --> AU --> back to SG (103.4.115.248)..

Email sent.

Just to note, that ip is in Australia, not Singapore. Not sure why it's showing otherwise. It's the world of warcraft server in Sydney.

Still doesn't excuse why it's going via hk and us.

Are you planning to setup a Repeater (Wireless)?

The DIR615 does not comes default with this feature, if you still want to do it, you need to flash it with ddwrt.
If you don't mind hooking up with a cable, then you may use this DIR615 as an wireless AP.

Email or pm me if you need further help.

Thank you.
