Hi, I want to upgrade my router (using std D-Link provided by TIME) and wonder if there is anything in particular I should consider?

Do I need to configure the VLAN IDs i.e. get a unifi/maxis supported router?

Am currently eyeing TP-link C9 or C2600 and wonder if they support TIME fibre broadband. There is no info about this on TP-link website. I currently subscribe to the 100Mbps package using PPPoE.

Any insight to this is highly appreciated!

Last time when I wanted to buy router also consider c9 but due to its looks I decided not to. The c7/c5 looks is better and the ac5400 and ad7200 also have better looks. The 2600 and 3150 just urgh. Both of the routers u ask support TIME.

Well, I don't care so much for the looks of the router. I'm more interested in the specs.
Looks like I'm going for the C2600 due to the more powerful CPU and the MUMIMO feature.

Thanks for letting me know both routers are supported tho

Cheers

How about the Asus routers? They are more expensive though...i'm shopping for an alternative myself but have been looking at Tenda AC 15...seems quite ok....and price is not bad....but quality - not too sure

Hi, instead of specifying the dns, switch it to "Auto obtain dns from your service provider".

Mayb you need to detail out how is your settings ? There is no reason why it wont work.

Thanks.

Hi all, planning to sign up for 100mbps package.
Is the lag and slow down still persisting? Noticed the complaints in facebook stopped for a few days.

Thanks. Good to hear that.

I read through the ETHICAL SERVICE USAGE POLICY on their website. Quite strict - since they said they can terminate you for downloading music and videos.
Are they aggressively scanning user downloads, or act on complaint basis?
