Erm, guys, if your sim card has a PIN number, then you can't use the E1762 Mobile Partner software?

I tried with my hotlink card, and it doesn't work, basically there was no device found. However, I could connect with Windows 7 Network Connection Manager. Just couldn't connect with the Huawei bundled software.

Any ideas? I don't have a installation CD though.

Tried all three APN. Similar results, around 1MB to 1.4MB. Used to be 3MB+ early this month.

wat package is yours?

is it 3G internet or maxis broadband?

when u subscribe it?

FYI, our package here is not term as Maxis Broadband

when i pay my bills at maxis kios, i hav to select "POST PAID" , selecting "BroadBand" dun list my mobile number

if yours is normal postpaid, @ rm8/day for data ,then the cap per day should be rm8 only

if yours is prepaid, then u wont get any bill fr maxis as they will only deduct your prepaid credit

This is a Maxis 3G/HS 3G Thread... so of course, it's 3G Internet~loh... not Maxis Wireless Broadband.

yes, I know about *100#, 'cos every time if I'm not at home//office, and need to use internet, I'll subscribe either RM2/hr or RM8/day. So meaning, I won't direct connect and kenal charged by per usage. sad.gif

and I'm on postpaid+auto-debit. meaning they already charged it to my CC! doh.gif

I'm gonna stop all auto-debit from now! this is too risky+ridiculous! vmad.gif

Funny thing is... how did the "19MB" appear? when I ask the CS to tell me... where had this 19MB access to? let me know the IP/URL... he said he is not able to retrieve that info, and said he'll get the billing ppl to contact me. sweat.gif

still waiting... tomorrow I'll call Maxis back and see.

Plug n Play for the USB modem... so it could be Maxis or Default. I'm not sure. Most likely default as there are no Pre-Configurations Profiles for Maxis.

at first my usb modem use maxis broadband mobile partner firmware..

auto installation and shortcut at desktop shortcut show maxis broadband..and it's configured itself for maxis bb..

now after unlock and flash default mobile partner firmware, on desktop shortcut show mobile partner..

need to configure setting manually..

I just managed to join in the multisim club. (only 1 multisim so far)
My unlimited package was canceled end of last year, but i managed to
get it back. Lucky me. smile.gif

However, i find that the speed is not consistent, sometime only reach 80 KB/s but it can fluctuate to
almost 300 KB/s....

Anyway to make it stable and fast??

Just bought a Huawei E1762, the speed seems to be faster and more stable with it. At least Maxis 3G is giving me what Streamyx can't give me - 2mpbs or 4mpbs.
