Whoa, this thread interest me, went through and read all 68 pages. Seems like my heart got broken when I read up to December 09 posts... stating that maxis no longer offers unlimited package.

Well I tried with my phone, the speed is really awesome, getting about 200KB/s from my RL server.

Too bad 3GB is really too little for me.

I'm using mobile internet all the while, Jaring Wireless Broadband, and a Jaring subscriber for 20 years.

Well the thing is Jaring wireless is really slow after I did a test for Maxis, and the price is almost similar. The only differences is that Jaring still provides unlimited bandwidth, unlike Maxis and Jaring is really unstable.

Erm, guys, if your sim card has a PIN number, then you can't use the E1762 Mobile Partner software?

I tried with my hotlink card, and it doesn't work, basically there was no device found. However, I could connect with Windows 7 Network Connection Manager. Just couldn't connect with the Huawei bundled software.

Any ideas? I don't have a installation CD though.

Regards,

simcard always have pin number right..default = 1234..

btw, installation cd for what??
when still lock, i can use both my maxisbb sim and hotlink sim..no problem at all..

are you use maxis broadband mobile partner application..or default mobile partner only?

Plug n Play for the USB modem... so it could be Maxis or Default. I'm not sure. Most likely default as there are no Pre-Configurations Profiles for Maxis.

Hey guys, anyone knows how to connect to 3G and not 3.5G? Because I found that 3G more stable than 3.5G during some hours like 10pm.... it's even slower than 3G during that period.

Added on May 15, 2010, 11:38 pmIn other words, instead of teal light, I want the blue light.

Oh well that would be wasting more money... I guess I found a solution, but it's very very complex and I'm not sure whether it works.

The speed is too awesome and I have finished downloading everything. Youtube and online video streaming is not a problem...

My only issue is I do not have anything else to download...

Good for you, I'm jealous tongue.gif since my area doesn't have very good HSUPA coverage, the signal is usually 'Fair'.

Yeah, what a wastage. sad.gif
Yeah, gotta Google around for music streaming...
It has nothing to do now. sad.gif
HSUPA? unsure.gif
Why do you need such high speed of uplink? Unless you are doing anything that requires heavy uploads.
You need HSDPA = High Speed Downlink Packet Access.

Sorry, I meant HSPA. My area has very weak coverage for HSDPA and HSUPA.
