did you threaten them to cancel their CC if they (MBB) charge you this SST?

Not many people can afford to threaten the Tiger bank, unless you are holding Diamanté VI. dry.gif

SST is mandatory and doesn't go into banks' pocket. Nothing new, it was there before GST era too.
Oh ya, other banks may retain and offer you with rebates if "threaten" to cancel but not MBB, they will say goodbye to you instead. Never ever threaten MBB.

Oh, so disappointed no 5x though I didn't reload but didn't start expect to lose. :x

@digidigi
What's RM25 when one has 20-30M in deposit? It just look like 2.5 cents.

If use BP to pay, if more than 10k then need to separate into few times and have few receipts. Shouldn’t be a problem right?

Any other way to pay TNB? in order to maximize the return since only 1x tp if pay by Maybank 2 cards.
*
Yes, can split into tranches but make sure you keep the transaction receipts and also reconcile with the E-ledger which you can see online. LHDN don't care how you pay as long as the total amount is paid by the deadline. I have previously called LHDN to confirm this as well.

Even prior to BP I used to do the same with cashback cards (those which gave CB got govt) and pay in tranches to maximise the CB.

Mine is always 99 because its for passive income and due on submission only.

BUT companies I have worked with have paid 01 - 12 in tranches due to cheque signatory / daily transfer limits, or even calculation errors (lol). The important thing is making sure your e-ledger reflects everything.

Disclaimer: Note that the above is purely anecdotal and based solely on my experience. As this relates to tax payments, please confirm with LHDN directly to avoid any problems. Proceed at your own risk.

MU squad quality is below par compare to European elite teams.

It has been like that since Ferguson's era. The only difference is Ferguson able to get the best out of each player in every match.

BP. No point paying direct right since LHDN is government.

So you all pay 0.8% extra, to earn 5x TP, which is worth more?

For me 5x TP plus the ability to BT it over 6 months (using Aeon) is infinitely worth the 0.8% charge.

You still get to keep the TP after you BT?

Of course. In the eyes of MBB, you have cleared the payment, regardless who pays for you or use which payment method.

Had anyone tried using Maybank Amex Concierge or Amex Platinum Concierge? I just emailed both of them. Wanted to buy a laptop from Lenovo US as they are having 30% discount.

The laptop need to be shipped to US address then courier to me ..

Let's see if concierge can do this

Yup. Feb - Apr 19 is free period.
Apr 19 - Apr 20 will determine your AF waiver.
This is what CS told me.

Just to confirm - if my card anniversary is in Jul, would I be charged annual fee the month before i.e. Jun? And if I can't meet the min spending amount, I should redeem my treatpoints prior to Jun?
