Yes. There are 2 forms of taxes imposed by Customs on importation i.e. Import Duty (0% for laptop) and Sales Tax (6%).

The tax will be imposed on the value of the item + shipping + insurance, typically as declared in the airway bill. In some cases e.g. if there is no airway bill, or if the item tariff code or value is deemed incorrect by Customs (e.g. some people who under declare in an attempt to avoid duties), Customs has the right to assess the item's value and impose the duties / tax accordingly.

Given the above, you may need to assess whether it is worth importing from the US. Furthermore, if your item is held by Customs, you will have to make a trip there (at Sepang I believe) OR pay your freight forwarder to clear it on your behalf for a fee.

I am having issues to top up Boost by using the amex reserve. Is it a common bugs or the card block by Boost? (Note: I am able to use the card on other merchant but not Boost.)

I am using it on my own Boost Account. Then I tried to add it to my wife Boost Account but it fail.

Then, I found out I can't use it on my own Boost after that.

Is this the reason? Then, can I get Boost to "unblock" or "unlock" it?

How do you all track / verify that all points comes in? I read before that some people said they do TP reconciliation? From the statement it seems to show a pretty limited breakdown. Actually, anyone got an explanation what all these terms in the statement means?

I guess some are self explanatory. But what's the difference VI Overseas Spend & an Overseas Spend? Why is Amex 4x instead of 5x? And what is Petrol Points?

Also, in M2U website, in the points section there is a separate item called Membership Points? Any idea what this is?

VI overseas = overseas spend with your VI
Overseas = Amex
Amex 4x because already have 1x in the total
Petrol = spend on petrol lo

Try to tally these figure from your statement.
Not too hard to understand.
Take some time especially first time.
I have an excel sheet to tally with, but when transaction increases, sometimes lazy to update.
The excel sheet already have all formulas, just fill in the figures and it will auto calculate everything, including how many miles more I needed for my next redemption (now 0, gonna make some redemption soon )
