Woah, same situation like me, i also kena this same plan Rm78. So I'm bound by contract? They told me on the phone that this has no contract, but then again how can I have contract when I didn't sign anything? This is all done through the phone call. I'm now on prorated since I have just paid my bill recently.( Surfmore50)

I've been told otherwise.

I've been offered with the same offer and I took it:
Maxis One 98 + RM 20 rebate + 4GB additional data = 78/month with 5GB data

The SMS I received from maxis is I've upgraded to MaxisOne 1GB + Free 3GB data for the next 6 month.

So I called up to the CS and the explanation was that the 3GB only valid till next billing cycle.
Once in a new billing cycle, the data quota will be 1+4GB.

The rebate and additional 4GB is valid till I switch plan/port out.

We'll see if these statement are true or not.

1 month ago only rm68 for 5gb, rm88 for 7gb

Check back, it was supposed to be RM 78 for 1+4 GB, with unlimited data and sms.

They will then say different price is due to various factors like how long customer have been with Maxis, monthly usage, bill payment habit etc.

Why should I just settle with 98?

If you read their quarterly financial report, you will know that, they are losing 200-300k customers every quarter.
BUT, their APRU and profit are increased. It means maxis lost all those, are considered lower quality customers, those with cheaper plan. This is why maxis so worry now, because affect those one plan users, which are much higher quality and profitable target group.

But i think one plan was to cover + earn more or maybe a little bit for the "losses" in zerolution deal. I was thinking to sign up for maxis as well, change from prepaid to postpaid, but the price and the package are the reason i walk away last time.

On Friday I called Maxis 123 and requested for review of my plan, the offered me RM188 - 15GB or continue existing RM158 but FOC 1 GB for life. Then contacted Maxis FB Ask Maxis, the replied the same offer to me.
So on Saturday noon, I went to Maxis centre and pay my balance RM27xx for the Samsung S7 that I bought.
Ported to Digi on Sunday noon with only SMS from Maxis stated I successfully ported over, no initial SMS to confirm my request. Pretty unprofessional it seems.
