If you read their quarterly financial report, you will know that, they are losing 200-300k customers every quarter.
BUT, their APRU and profit are increased. It means maxis lost all those, are considered lower quality customers, those with cheaper plan. This is why maxis so worry now, because affect those one plan users, which are much higher quality and profitable target group.
*
That is actually quite disgusting for a large company to do such a thing. Lower quality customers are not their customer? Even that so called "premium" customers were all actually paying a premium and not well-informed on the current package available on the market.

I once a Maxis user since 2002 and decided to port out in 2014 to Celcom and never looked back anymore.
Celcom treats me like a VIP.
The Celcom Blue Cube in Sunway Pyramid opened the door for me, press the queuing numbers for me, damn polite and friendly to me, and it was never crowded in their centre. Whereas in Maxis Centre in Sunway Pyramid, it looks like pasar malam there and their staff never bothered abt me. I did my ported out in Sunway Pyramid, all in one location.

p/s: There is one time I reported a internet down in my area. Roughly 2 hours after I filed my complaint to Celcom, their CS called me up to provide me on status update and keep apologizing to me on the inconvenience caused. Sometimes it is not abt the money we paid, its the service we get. I believed most of us don't mind paying a little extra if we are well-treated.

You've made the right decision for now. 2GB monthly quota with additional 500MB of data every weekend and comes with bundled calls/SMS for less than RM50 monthly.

On the contrary, do hold on to their shares. Their revenue will increase a lot this month, many customers paying early contract termination penalty.

Sell next month.

Ha ha ha!!!

No, no, I'm not a Celcom cybertrooper by any means, I'm just a very unhappy maxis customer that has been banned by their FB admin, ha ha ha....

Actually those personal plan is not Maxis main income, they usually take care their corporate customers. Unless the corporate customers made a huge wave, if not that would not make any difference.

Maxis still ego to provide cheaper plan to end user, that is really ridiculous.

Sadly this is true. We're just "unwelcomed noise" to them at most.

Relax, porting in the hundred of thousands or millions will take more than one quarter.
Give another 2 quarter and let's see Maxis' response.
