If you sum up the % for each month and then divide by 12, u get 4.31%/month average. Basically they want to lock down your money for first 6 months and only award the high interest at the final.

she only place for 3 month, i dont think is entitled

Maybank eFD at M2U offer a good rate. However if i have placed a min fresh fund of 10k, can I choose to top up via M2U?

just called MBB regarding their e-FD campaign on fresh funds. Apparently, even money in MBB Savings Acc are considered fresh funds as long as it is not withdrawn from existing MBB FD.  hmm.gif

Not sure how they trace. I uplifted my existing e-fd. And place again. They rate did show the yellow icon there. ..

and ya, I did adjust the fund become 10k.

I don't think eFD can top up after you made placement. You need to uplift and place again. But bear in mind the promotion period is limited.

look for a yellow icon beside the rate. if it's appear, means it's not entitle.

Have fund tomorrow, but UOB 4.5% ends today. sad.gif Got to contact RM to see if possible to still get the rate tomorrow. biggrin.gif

BR's 2 years 4.55% also ends today. Last week placed for it and sent out multiple SMS (multiple entries) to join the contest. So officially after today, the 4.5%/4.55% that type of rate for 1 or 2 years is OVER. sad.gif

Anyone else have good news of 1 or 2 years 4.5%, please let us know here ! thumbup.gif

For Maybank i-GIA, is there no penalty on early withdrawal? If I put 3 months tenure but withdraw it after 3 days, then the principal should be returned to me together with interest of 3 days?

yes you are right. u should see the final amount (principal+interest) before you click on "confirm" to withdraw.

Did u guys see BR's advertisement below (at the bottom of this forum's post) ? Tomorrow my SCB's FD matured. If UOB, OCBC has no 4.5% FD, may still move to BR. But have to call first to get 4.5% nego rate. biggrin.gif

Add: Saw the same advert in another forum. But looks like it is dynamic, so BR's advert may not be shown now.

LOL! Out of the blue, today received a Condotti 20 trolley bag from OCBC for FD placement on Jan 2016.
During placement, was told by Relationship Manager that the quota for the free trolley bag has been filled up so I wasn't eligible!
