u can get br fd promo 4.28% satu tahun. but cannot get past the 4.28%, can try. br promo rate normaly cannot nego. so amt must be besar to nego.

Worst part is she intro this SCB/Prudential agent who has been working in uptown for 5 years & said I have been putting into FD promos since she started working there (I really cannot remember if it has been that long). Probably everyone has changed except her, ha!

Anyway, will try to avoid SCB unless their rates are irresistable

Just got back from BSN.. 4.5% promo is over quota, now 4.3%.

They can collect the cheques from your house, deliver FD cert back to your house. They offer to send the gold coins, golf club, gifts etc to my house also. I probably would decline that.

If you are busy, that may be good for you.

With Maybank starting their eFD campaign in 2 days time, how do they detect fresh funds electronically? Should I just transfer out then transfer back in to consider as fresh funds or..? Anyone have experience in this from other banks for eFD?

HLBB. 4.3% for 3 mths IF you're able to bring in new fund more than RM100k. This one you'll need to ask the staff first as they need to get approval before placement.

What rate for MBB eFD?

Free Gold coins, golf club?

if jsut looking for fresh fund, then, u can transfer to other bank and transfer back to MBB.

But, Some bank practise to check the different of balance in the earlier of period (calendar month) and current balance.
Example, 23 Mar 2016, balance 10,100 and u transfer out 10,000 to make the balance to 100 on 24 Mar 2016.
Now, u transfer back 10,000 back to that bank on 25 Mar to make the balance 10,000
If the bank check the different of balance, it will be 0 as 10,1000 - 10,100

Is the 5 years 4.75% p.a. promo still available?

A) If you got normal eFD say 10k, if you uplift it and it go to Savings, consider fresh fund?

B) If lets say Savings got 2k. Then you transfer 8k from other banks to your account. So you got 10k. This consider fresh fund?

i have account with cimb and rhb, which one better for 6 months fd? must go over the counter ?
