I also wished so~ but the SA said need wait till the cheque is cleared~
My car is already in the showroom since last Friday.
I just paid via cheque last thursday, and the 2nd hand car dealer that bought my old car, just paid the cheque last Saturday, so it only can be cleared on weds and register on thurs he said....  cry.gif  cry.gif

Which branch is this? You transferred your car to the 2nd hand car dealer while still waiting for the cheque to clear? Is the used car dealer paying to Mazda or to you?

That is bad practice and the branch I bought from tried to pull this crap on me. Gave them hell for it and refused to transfer my old car until they sorted out the payment.

No no no~ I'm still driving my old car to work now, the 2nd hand dealer will only take over my car when i collect my new car later this week, the old car ownership is not transferred yet also, but the registration card is already with the dealer.

The dealer pay direct to Mazda. Need to wait the cheque from 2nd hand dealer to clear is also because of this, as his cheque is also part of the payment of my car to Bermaz.

Mine slightly different process.
1. 2nd car dealer take car registration card
2. 2nd car dealer perform transfer ownership
3. Release payment for Showroom
4. Showroom perform car registration with JPJ
5. Car ready for collection

All this in just 5 working days.

Like that after step 2 your 2nd hand car dealer's cheque can bounce and he can run away with your car.

Dealer direct transfer to Mazda.
Just nice family outstation for 3 weeks so have extra car at home to use for 1-2 days before collect my new car.

Now the new car is 1 week old. tongue.gif
So far no complain and enjoy driving the car. Feel so much power compare to my previous car (Vios).

Ahh ok that's better. Mine was a panel dealer appointed by the Mazda branch. He was supposed to pay the value of my old car to Mazda. Problem was this guy wanted to pay by cheque and for me to transfer my car to him before the cheque clears. And the Mazda branch wouldn't consider the payment complete until the cheque clears.

So I was stuck in between. I kept telling my sales guy, I will only transfer after payment complete. The money doesn't go to my account anyway. It's going into part of downpayment for the new car. Last straw was when the used car guy got my phone number from the sales guy and called me directly. The sales guy kena screw kao kao from me.

Mine is also panel dealer of bermaz.
But he's reasonable at least, wont ask me to transfer the car to him now~
But there's some tweaks in between though, he need the original old car sales invoice to do payment, and i think last time my old car the SA did not give us invoice, so he had to go to Perodua and request a new copy. So the payment was delayed for 1 day because of this.

No rush la. As long the car is in good condition and everything done such as tinting, coating and etc before collection.
I did not rush my SA coz I want to ensure a good workmanship for my tinting.

Tinting coating all not done, because I'm going outside to do my own coating and tinting~
And my car is parked outside of the showroom since Friday~
Feel like a bit heartache for my beloved new car parking there almost a week. Can say its only this long because waiting cheque to clear, then go jpj register

some tips for you when you get your new car since you upgrade from myvi

the bonnet is twice length of your myvi, and the seating position of the driver seat is situated slightly to the center of the car, so you have to really be careful when you park head in, reverse park should be no problem since the boot is not that long

when you navigate in shopping mall car park also have to be careful, especially paradigm mall and 1U old wing rooftop ramp, the first day i done my coating then i scratched the rims in 1U car park doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

and the car body is also wider, so it might take you sometime to get used to the side mirror and the wider body

Thanks for your advice, I also know M3 is much longer than my old car, I also worried the same, that I will scratched my car especially in indoor carpark or at the ramp going up or down, especially spiral type of ramp.

But driving bigger cars, I think I'm still not too bad though, as my parents have a SUV at home, which I drive every weekend fetching them out~ I think I just needed sometime to adjust my judgement and becareful only

I bought my car at federal Highway, all cars inside showroom are for display only, as you can see the number plate written the model name front and back. I think its their practice that all new cars will wait outside until deliver, they have one delivery place which can only fit a car, cars will be there right before you collect
