If you want to change the IP don't reconnect so fast, give it a while before reconnecting. If still the same, restart your BTU.

I restarted both the router and the BTU but still got back the same IP
I'll try waiting for a bit longer before turning it back on

I restarted my BTU and router then I couldn't connect to the Internet anymore. The "Link 1" light at BTU is keep blinking and won't stay. Anybody know what's the problem? Could it be my router problem?

I tried to login to my router through 192.168.1.1 also cant

Do a power cycle... Fully switch off all TM equipment, wait for about a minute or 2, then switch back on.

not sure y, but i can stream from kissanime and kissasian without hiccup at all. speedtest speed at 30mbps, but only cannot access stupid facebook.
*

.

Only accessing FB is slow like shit but other sites & torrenting is normal for me. And when I get IP address starting with 175.x, accessing FB becomes normal again.

U am not sure about Asus,  you might need to ask other sifus regarding that, this is what my D-link router shows.

I made a guest wifi for Hypptv, then use Vlan tagging to map it to IPTV's port.  It is grey out but thats because the guest wifi is disabled as I am no longer using it. Good luck wink.gif

Thank you for your useful info, I'll do more research and I think there's still hope. laugh.gif

The Huawei router is good too for me but the WiFi signal is not strong and coverage is not far.
That's why I have an access point from my Xiaomi router to transmit the WiFi signal from my stock router.
*
Oh I see... sorry for my ignorance, but I am so confused about access point and all these, did you mean you disabled wireless on TM's router, and use Xiaomi wireless router to serve your wireless devices?

You may try use 192.168.0.1 instead, as this is the number my installer give me.

If u r using a non-default router, u may see under the admin web console that there is a Status section.

In status section, some router admin console has a Disconnect and Reconnect button.

Click on that. No need to reboot router and it is faster.

Are you staying at a landed house or high rise (apartment/condo/flats)?

If it's a landed house, they will drill a hole to bring the Fibre cable into your house
If it's a high rise, they will use the original ADSL telephone socket that you currently use for your Streamyx
*
r u sure the original adsl line for streamyx can support for adv plan 30? Mine is a high rise but they still pull a new black cable to my hse.

One month to fix the International cable. This is not acceptable. With such a big company, I don't see why they can't fix it faster. Malaysia really has serious problem.
