unifi 30 is asymmetrical, when i was trying to upload a few gigs worth of files, my connection got severely crippled, many web pages are unable to load, my connection even DCed a few times, is an asymmetrical connection really that bad?
PS using mobile data to send this cause my internet is unusable now lol This post has been edited by jack2001: Feb 18 2016, 11:59 PM |

Guys, is there anyway other than calling TM to get my Hypptv Password? The only password I have is my Unifi's and Hypptv Anywhere. I know my username but not my password
Is there a way to extract from my STB or no? The STB is working tho This post has been edited by jack2001: Feb 25 2016, 02:11 PM |

You have to call 100. Got mine yesterday. Hypptv password is 12 digit alphanumeric unlike unifi's 13 digit alphanumeric... Prior to this i thought it was the same with my unifi password but it's not... [/quote ]I eventually gave in and called them, found out that you can't have 2 STB using the same username. The username that we were given is bound to the first STB that we logged into. |

QUOTE(G K Lai @ Feb 27 2016, 02:10 AM) Hi all, In my experience, unifi is much better than streamyx. Much lower ping, less stutter and you benefit immensely from the higher upload bandwidth.Regarding ping value for Unifi, since both Streamyx and Unifi are from the same provider, does their ping value the same? For online gaming, does Unifi any better than Streamyx? Thanks! |

QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Mar 1 2016, 11:46 PM) landed, oh so the modem will not be connected to the telephone line, and connected to that fibre cable instead? The hypptv can be connected by wifi if you want but your router must support (TM's Doesn't) Vlan tagging for guest wifi(You need this for seperate wifi connection), I tried it and it works.how about hypptv box? must use wire to connect to modem or can it connect via wifi (ie hypptv and modem can be separately located)? |

QUOTE(G K Lai @ Mar 2 2016, 01:51 AM) Hi jack2001, this is interesting, I disconnect and pack-up the HyppTV box as soon as the installer leave my house because I will not be able to enjoy it since the installer told me can't use Wi-Fi to watch it and LAN cable is not an option for me. Just to verify, they gave me this kind of box: U am not sure about Asus, you might need to ask other sifus regarding that, this is what my D-link router shows.[attachmentid=6096419] Since you said TM's own router doesn't support streaming with Wi-Fi, what is the other options? 1) I bought Asus RT-AC55UHP and it has guess network support, can this router be configure to watch HyppTV wirelessly? 2) I have a Linksys E4200 loaded with DD-WRT (and I saw Vlan tagging in there, although I don't know how they work), can I use this Linksys router as a repeater or how can I utilize this old router for HyppTV? I heard some user complain about TM's Huawei router sucks, but I can get good speed from it's W-Fi signal. Here's the Speedtest result, all default TM equipment with default setting, did the test with my good old Galaxy Note 3 [attachmentid=6096421] But I do admit this Huawei router really ugly looking. I made a guest wifi for Hypptv, then use Vlan tagging to map it to IPTV's port. It is grey out but thats because the guest wifi is disabled as I am no longer using it. Good luck This post has been edited by jack2001: Mar 2 2016, 06:37 AM |

For those having issues, I am using dotVPN and it works great, for most cases, files that download at 5kb/s can sometimes achieve over 1 MB/s
And it is FREE. |
