Dear dads,

I would like to ask if any of you know any of you hired full-time maids after you had your first child?

Or just send to the baby sitter?

The reason is my mom and my mom in law are both in Ipoh and they are quite old and hard for them to travel often. And it is also not ideal for me and my wife to drive back every weekend.

So, we are considering hiring a full-time maid or send our child to a reliable baby sitter.

Need some advice on this, and we are aware that Maid Agencies can be quite funny, tricky and super expensive.

This issue faced by many young parents nowadays, I am lucky my wife quit her job for 2 years to take care of my little one. Now, my mum-in-law is with me.

Before my mum-in-law comes, I did look into option of getting a maid, and install some Wi-Fi CCTV around the living hall and kitchen. Hope this helps.

Not all babies will appreciate the Nuna Leaf, mine was one of those that hated it and would scream her lungs out if you put her in it.

The person I gave it to didn't think it was useful either as her baby would start crying the moment he realized the mum wasn't nearby.

I suggest before you blow the money on a Nuna Leaf you get a 2nd hand normal cradle or rocker first, if it works then go ahead, else consider it lucky that you saved the money needed for a Nuna Leaf.

stand cradle? is it that bouncing thing to help them sleep?

imho, dont get it. because if baby keeps falling asleep in that, then he will need it all the time. gonna be a nightmare. but from what you describe, its a completely normal situation. does your wife need to do all the housework at that time? no one to help? best is if you let her just take care of baby and do some very minor urgent tasks. the rest just leave it till night time when you get home to help do them, or you take care of baby.

no need to get all those fancy stuff. Baby grow up so fast.
Just get a normal bouncer try to see able to make your baby sleep or not.
Previously my LO practice was to make her sleep on bed. Worst comes to worst, have to use pacifier depend they require or not.

As for housework, doesn't need to do 1 whole shot within a day. you can just help out doing little by little.

hi all!

just got the good news from waifu a week ago and we are guessing is about 4 or 5 weeks now.

since it is our first one and we had no idea on certain things.

would you guys recommend to go to clinic for a ultrasound checkup first or straight engage the hospital directly? or a nearby clinic + preferred hospital if need consultation?

any good gyrea or hospital to recommend for delivery? thumbup.gif

i'm staying at Kepong and if anything around KL or PJ will be fine. biggrin.gif

i don’t know how to go and check fertility. but i dare say some people just take longer time. my 2nd child took about 2 years. just be patient and keep on trying. don’t give up. i knew a couple who took 10 years to have a child.

Bro, the amount of the fluid u saw from your semen are not the way to count your sperm count, both of u got to go for a medical checkup to check what is the real problem.

BTW my fren took more than 1 year n less than 3 years to conceive, he is older than u 2-3 years old. didnt go for any medical checkup. Sometimes timing bro.

But if both r healthy, can conceive very fast. If u believe in TCM, try to ask around ur fren for a reliable TCM n see how

good luck.

I'd imagine if Gleneagles is a bit over budget then SJMC would be too. Should standby at least RM20k if want to deliver there as you never know in case of complications it could spiral out beyond your budget.

Try UMSC, I have to say I was thoroughly impressed and it did not break my bank account.

A word of advise is go to the hospital where you or your missus found a gynae that she is comfortable with.

Are you trying to conceive?

Instead of worrying about this, try losing weight, less stress and eat a balanced diet.

Something helpful is an ovulation calendar app, find out the fertile days and do it at that time.
