hi all!

just got the good news from waifu a week ago and we are guessing is about 4 or 5 weeks now.

since it is our first one and we had no idea on certain things.

would you guys recommend to go to clinic for a ultrasound checkup first or straight engage the hospital directly? or a nearby clinic + preferred hospital if need consultation?

any good gyrea or hospital to recommend for delivery? thumbup.gif

i'm staying at Kepong and if anything around KL or PJ will be fine. biggrin.gif

I'd imagine if Gleneagles is a bit over budget then SJMC would be too. Should standby at least RM20k if want to deliver there as you never know in case of complications it could spiral out beyond your budget.

Try UMSC, I have to say I was thoroughly impressed and it did not break my bank account.

A word of advise is go to the hospital where you or your missus found a gynae that she is comfortable with.

sure.. will give it a try.. any doctor in particular?

Give and take. We gain sth, we lose sth.

Why not take it from the bright side? Be grateful that your wife is able to conceive. Some friends are not that lucky. Also, getting pregnant earlier is always better for your wife.

Think of it, it's better than later you are ready but failed to conceive. Just accept it with a happy heart. The hobby can wait, find other means to support yourself financially. I'm ready to give up anything for my baby. Perhaps in future we can share the same hobby with the kids?

There's always positive to every matter.

Neeed help. My 10 days baby prefer fm than bfeed. How ya? Why i say he prefer fm? Because everytime my wife try to bfeed, he will avoid. When force, he will suck for like 10 second then pull n cry. If use fm, he can drink 1 shot till finish. How ya?
*
maybe latch position not right.

but it is common for some babies to reject direct latch and prefer bottle.. just try again..

Hey guys,
my daughter is nearly to 2 months old with 5kg weight.
Currently is feeding mix of Bfeed & FM.. with a total of 4.5oz.
Please advice whether is it enough or not..
Additional, my baby keeps crying at night before sleep. Please help :'(
*
depends on interval and total daily consumption

4.5oz seems on the high side especially she drinks frequent and only about 2mth+

i controlled my son's diet around 3oz then 4oz... recently 4.5oz @ 5months old, dragging his feeding to 3.5 to 4 hours.
my boy was consistent 4oz every 3hours, making total about 32oz (BM first, then top up with FM)

as for crying, probably gassy stomach. try burp properly. my boy cries after 9pm bcz he is looking for mum.. with his mum then he is happy..

but girls are very different than boys.. my friends' baby girls all having similar problem...

Hey guys, jsut would like to check, using a washing machine to wash baby cloths will be more effective or handwash??
Effective sense of cleanliness..
*
recommend hand wash unless your washing machine is dedicated for baby clothes only.

however, if u r lazy, then just wash using washing machine and dont mix with adult clothes.

my wife and me hand wash all our baby's clothes.

thanks for your advice.
btw, im feeding S26 Milk formula for newborn...
seems there's lots of red spots on the cheek and white sandy spots on the body, arms and thigh... is this means of too heaty??
*
my baby used to drink S26 for the first month and also developed some of the symptoms you mentioned. when its on cheek is kinda normal but if it propagates to the body etc then sth maybe not right.

i changed to morinaga BF-1 thereafter and so far so good.. once awhile some milk rashes on cheek but go off pretty quickly.. consult your pead too..

QUOTE(ernie ball @ May 11 2020, 01:34 PM)
Hi guys, out of topic but not sure where else to ask.. any suggestions for child seats? Main criteria is not too bulky, and is airy (baby sweat a lot).. price range around rm1k, not too particular about safety as it will be used around town and more important to get the baby to sit inside rather than crying for the mum... as long as not those ridiculously cheap brand then I'm happy smile.gif

Something like chicco nextfit range or Graco extend2fit ( but it's very bulky), and not sure if the fabric is cool.
*
i bought u-baby pro neptune i think, can turn 360.. around RM600.. and my baby loves it.. everytime he sit in his car seat he sure quiet and sleep until dont want wake up.. its unexpectedly comfortable for that kind of price range.

i bought with stroller combo RM999. stroller i add one more cushion and my baby loves it also..

is it alright if i just use pampers??
i mean of course will change pampers for every 3 hours...
what the elders concern is the wet pampers will affect the butt, or private area,,
*
its ok as long as you are using good ones

nowadays diapers are of very good quality compare to older days, and cheaper too. that's why our parents have the perception of costly to wear diapers and asked us to use napkins instead. but after i share with her the cost, my mum say might as well use diapers.

thank god my boy has no preference when it comes to diapers. i used from the cheapest to the more expensive ones without issue.

but one thing i find, the cheaper ones need to change often, hence the all in cost will be the same if you just use a good diaper

now i m using mamypoko air fit, it gets pricier from M size and above. from NB 0.50+/piece up to 0.70+/piece for M size. i usually bought during online sales, discount a lot and stock up, but dont over stock the same size. i bought too much S size only to realise my baby dont use as much as NB.

i find drypers very thick and doesn't contain much pee, both drypers wee wee dry and drypers touch.
huggies platinum and merries are good oso.

those more premium one like offspring etc, never bother to use.
