just got the good news from waifu a week ago and we are guessing is about 4 or 5 weeks now.

since it is our first one and we had no idea on certain things.

would you guys recommend to go to clinic for a ultrasound checkup first or straight engage the hospital directly? or a nearby clinic + preferred hospital if need consultation?

any good gyrea or hospital to recommend for delivery?

i'm staying at Kepong and if anything around KL or PJ will be fine.

Why not take it from the bright side? Be grateful that your wife is able to conceive. Some friends are not that lucky. Also, getting pregnant earlier is always better for your wife.

Think of it, it's better than later you are ready but failed to conceive. Just accept it with a happy heart. The hobby can wait, find other means to support yourself financially. I'm ready to give up anything for my baby. Perhaps in future we can share the same hobby with the kids?

how many weeks already when that happened? if quite big then need to do proper cleaning and confinement otherwise will make her body weak and harder to conceive next

4.5oz seems on the high side especially she drinks frequent and only about 2mth+

i controlled my son's diet around 3oz then 4oz... recently 4.5oz @ 5months old, dragging his feeding to 3.5 to 4 hours.
my boy was consistent 4oz every 3hours, making total about 32oz (BM first, then top up with FM)

as for crying, probably gassy stomach. try burp properly. my boy cries after 9pm bcz he is looking for mum.. with his mum then he is happy..

but girls are very different than boys.. my friends' baby girls all having similar problem...

recommend hand wash unless your washing machine is dedicated for baby clothes only.

however, if u r lazy, then just wash using washing machine and dont mix with adult clothes.

my baby used to drink S26 for the first month and also developed some of the symptoms you mentioned. when its on cheek is kinda normal but if it propagates to the body etc then sth maybe not right.

i changed to morinaga BF-1 thereafter and so far so good.. once awhile some milk rashes on cheek but go off pretty quickly.. consult your pead too..

i bought u-baby pro neptune i think, can turn 360.. around RM600.. and my baby loves it.. everytime he sit in his car seat he sure quiet and sleep until dont want wake up.. its unexpectedly comfortable for that kind of price range.

i bought with stroller combo RM999. stroller i add one more cushion and my baby loves it also..

nowadays diapers are of very good quality compare to older days, and cheaper too. that's why our parents have the perception of costly to wear diapers and asked us to use napkins instead. but after i share with her the cost, my mum say might as well use diapers.

thank god my boy has no preference when it comes to diapers. i used from the cheapest to the more expensive ones without issue.

but one thing i find, the cheaper ones need to change often, hence the all in cost will be the same if you just use a good diaper

now i m using mamypoko air fit, it gets pricier from M size and above. from NB 0.50+/piece up to 0.70+/piece for M size. i usually bought during online sales, discount a lot and stock up, but dont over stock the same size. i bought too much S size only to realise my baby dont use as much as NB.

i find drypers very thick and doesn't contain much pee, both drypers wee wee dry and drypers touch.
huggies platinum and merries are good oso.

those more premium one like offspring etc, never bother to use.

my baby's medical card has a small portion of life insurance

we don't need much sum insured for baby as they do not have dependents. life insurance is only important if you have dependents that rely on you e.g. you have parents, wife and kids that rely on you as the breadwinner. hence, u cannot afford to just "go" or out of work like that, leaving them to suffer.

you can educate your kid to buy their own insurance when they start work later as part of lifegoal plannings, meanwhile, just a small amount will do. medical card/expense cover is more important to protect us as parents.

insurance is all about risk mitigating. doesn't mean buy more = better.

chillax... take some nice portraits... eat some good food... surprise flower bouquet at the hotel etc etc..
