For top-up of AS1M online through maybank, how long does it takes to refund the money to our account if the transaction was not successful?

Normally 2days

If I top-up RM2k AS1M Online through maybank, but only 1000 units available, would I be allocated 1k units instead of 2k units, or totally none?

totally None it's not like OTC, where can reduce the amount. 2k means 2k. no more or less  icon_rolleyes.gif

After reading the recent post by forummers here, seems that for fixed price fund, ASW & ASM are more sought after compared to AS1M? Any particular reason? Myself prefer AS1M over the former at least top up can be done online, eliminating the need to queue at bank and high possibility of no units available for top up..

well, AS1M is among "the weakest" because the fund c/fwd the least amount to next financial year.
the name of 1M'sia also kinda "sensitive" to some. thus less people would want to dump money there

Been trying to open this account for years but no luck. Was finally able to open asw instead.

A member mentioned that as1m made a loss of rm150m last year?
*
Yes, accordig to as1m annual report , it has RM144,915,475 rosot nilai dalam pelaburan disebut harga.

With current situation of klse , i believe others like asw , asm will be the same as well.

Just hope that , fund manager will invest smarter to earn more ...

For otc, value can reduce. Like sometimes I asked for rm5k, they tell me only Rm2k available. After that Rm3k, try again. Sometimes got sometimes no. If don't have, go to another bank. That time sure the remaining rm3k can masuk. biggrin.gif That's why I said my topping up success rate for the day is still 100%. Not topping up success per try. tongue.gif

Interesting and surprising.

ASW is deemed the best (from past % figures and also general gut-feel) and yet the rosot nilai in 2015.

I would choose ASW2020. It's the oldest fund among the ASx open to non-bumi.

Funny you call it whatever it's convenient/to your advantage to you

I thought you usually call it FD on steroid?  cool2.gif

Anyway, this is seriously OT, quickly run away before mod come and ban me  whistling.gif
*
Bro, it's still FD on steroids. Where can you find an investment where you can get back the full principal (buy and sell at RM1/unit). Give a consistent return every year (let's set it to Base 6% as sifu xuzen said they have been consistent giving >6%). Only FD can give you that. But FD only 4.x% this 6.x%, So not FD on steroids, then what? Black box investment? whistling.gif ph34r.gif

But amanah saham is a still a unit trust as one put it in the FSM thread, amanah saham is in its class of its own.

Thanks.

Found that thread. Thought can find that thread INSIDE Lowyat Forum, no need to use google! Ha.

Cannot find my thread about the ASNB staff entering the purchase into my 2nd son son's account while it should be in my 1st son's account.

Need to know the date. Cannot find the entry in their books too. Something is very wrong with the purchase. Ha.

I don't think they can do anything once the transaction goes through. The only option for you I think is "transfer" on a Sunday.

Surprised to hear that this can happen. Ha. In my case, ASNB staff entered $X into my second son's ac while it should be into my eldest son's ac. She later tried to cancel and transfer it to the right ac. She could not. Who was at fault? ME! The deposit slip for my eldest son was in my 2nd son's passbook and that resulted in the error. How did that happen? I went to ASNB a few days before that and the other staff tried to fish for me but with no success. I think when he returned the passbooks to me, he put the wrong deposit forms into the wrong passbooks!

So learning is to double check the forms and the passbooks if you have multiple passbooks.

BB  hmm.gif
Learning I can see in your case is, very nice of you that you did not make a big fuss/compliant after the mistake. Since the amount is not very large, I think I would also keep it calm. If it is a 5 digits amount, I will be seeing the manager! Ha. Learning is, turn the negative to positive, i.e., the staff who made the mistake will be more than willing to help you out the next time you try to fish for more units. Of course, if she can remember you. Give it a try and you may have found a gem connection out of the "misfortune" earlier!

CC  thumbup.gif
Seeing a lot of replies here on the FP to VP change in the last 2 days of 2015. Ha. Yes, I am one of those who are anxious to know and will withdraw if they announced the change from FP to VP.

Hope there will be no announcement on the change. Ha. Then I can have a nice & peaceful new year's eve dinner with my family tonight! Ha.

Happy New Year & better/bigger ASX fishing harvests to all here!  biggrin.gif  rclxm9.gif  wub.gif
