I was at pejabat pos besar kl this morning. The officer was so reluctant to help me open an ASW2020 a/c, I end up renewing my passbook for ASM only.
Sigh, thought that visiting bigger post office would have higher chance / more friendly staff. I was so shocked n disappointed that the staff instructed me go to Maybank and try my luck without wanting to try for me at POS!

check out Post #3 by TS. there's a list of places to "try" open new account  icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks. I managed to open ASW2020 in Maybank Rivercity, KL though that was not a location I know of that can successfully open an a/c. Thanks to the staff who was reluctant to help open an a/c but eventually helped out.
TS may update this location at the front page.
* Edited: POS HQ KL is in the list, but my attempt to pen an a/c there was unsuccessful. In conclusion, it depends not only on availability of funds at that time but also the staff's diligence.

ASM also need change new passbook? i ingat only asw2020

Yes. Upon changing, no. ahli will change as well. My ASM & ASW2020 now bears the same no. ahli, but not for AS1M at the moment as there is still no need to change the passbook for AS1M

For top-up of AS1M online through maybank, how long does it takes to refund the money to our account if the transaction was not successful?
If I top-up RM2k AS1M Online through maybank, but only 1000 units available, would I be allocated 1k units instead of 2k units, or totally none?
After reading the recent post by forummers here, seems that for fixed price fund, ASW & ASM are more sought after compared to AS1M? Any particular reason? Myself prefer AS1M over the former at least top up can be done online, eliminating the need to queue at bank and high possibility of no units available for top up..

I subscribed AS1M online through maybank. How do I know if it was successful? The only way I got to know whether it was successful is to check my maybank account & see if there is any refund. Is this the common way? Thanks

.. Looks like it's quite a primitive way of checking, ie unlike payment of Bill / transfer of funds where bank will notify if transaction was not successful ..

For non-bumi, AS1M is the only available FP fund for online top up?
