QUOTE(kkk8787 @ Jan 31 2016, 08:56 PM) Lets say you have a bumi friend who wants to invest but she said she has no money. U yourself is non bumi. She said u use her name and u keep the passbook but dividen share half half is that workable That is doable. If you can trust that person. What happen if the person act dumb and say you never give me any money? I am not even sure a B&W can cut it. Keyword here is trust. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Jan 31 2016, 09:00 PM

QUOTE(Kaka23 @ Feb 1 2016, 10:15 AM) I want to try 5 digits.. Wish me luck Bro/sis, go with 4 digit. Then do repeated tries to get your 5 figure. You can also work backwards. Start with 5 digit then work down to 4 digit.

QUOTE(kpfun @ Feb 1 2016, 10:32 AM) I attended the ASNB Seminar in IOI Resort City last Saturday. Here the sharing of my observation: 1. Less than 5% non bumi attendees. 2. There were 2 presentations - Malaysia Market Outlook and Hibah/Pengisytiharan Amanah. 3. The market outlook presentation is better than those presentations in FSM. The presenter is from macro research unit and with PhD title. The content is in English and well organized. Entire session was conducted by mixed of Malay and English. 4. I guess the mind of audiences were not with economy. The first question was a good one from a Malay folk, speaking in English - " Where is 1% or 2% those carried forward undeclared dividends from all the years", and followed by saying " ASNB should be transparency of managing these undeclared dividends". None of ASNB staff in the room have the answer for it. The rest of questions were also around "unhappy about dividends". 5. About hibah/pengisythiharan Amanah, one important info I learned from there, which Amanah will transfer all the units to the beneficiary in units, whereas, for non Amanah wills, they release in cash. I think, I will attend their future seminars if I will be invited again. The buffet lunch was damn good! Amanah will and non Amanah will? Care to clarify?

QUOTE(kpfun @ Feb 1 2016, 11:00 AM) ASNB has a product of Hibah Amanah for Muslims and Pengisytiharan Amanah for non Muslims. They collect RM190 one time fee for all units of all products of the person has in ASNB. The execution fee is about 0.6% for the first 1 million, and subsequent is a bit lower. The withdrawal takes less than 21 days. Other wills, may take months to year. Other wills means any withdraw from a decease's account not through either hibah/penisytiharan Amanah. But if use other will, one won't get in the form of units right?

QUOTE(filage @ Feb 2 2016, 02:35 PM) Is the ASM convertion to new passbook mandatory (like if you give them old book to update, they will issue new book automatically) and is it free of charge? What about ASW? Oh btw, I think the TS can update the first page about online transaction. It's not just Maybank and CIMB, it also available on RHB and Affin. Without new book ,you cannot do any transaction for both ASM and asw. Yes changing of book is FOC. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Feb 2 2016, 02:38 PM

QUOTE(kkk8787 @ Feb 3 2016, 02:45 PM) Bro teach me bro. I have a helpful staff i know but how. Ok lets say u go no unit, then u leave the book she tried got unit d, she calls u and then only u transfer or how. She has to be really nice to be willing to call u right If you are priority customer with good relationship with the bank, you can do that. Leave the book there, come back at the end of the day to sign all the necessary withdraw documents.

QUOTE(kkk8787 @ Feb 3 2016, 03:02 PM) Oh i tot u mean the amanah saham branch. Sorry misread. Because maybank private banking, u ask them they always say full but asnb branch still have. Maybank the relationship manager keep asking u to buy their own inhouse unit trust Of course la. They get commission if you buy from the. Give them free holiday. If you buy amanah saham FP, they don't get anything I think. Don't know if they will get anything from ASX VP.

QUOTE(wu ming @ Feb 5 2016, 01:41 PM) Was finally able to open fixed price funds for pendatang status after 2 years of waiting. Thank you Ramjade for your encouragement. Went to CIMB Bank Jalan P. Ramlee yesterday to try open as1m but after 30 minutes of waiting. No luck. Today I was nearby Pejabat Pos Besar KL and therefore decided to try my luck. Tried applying for as1m but also no luck. But the Pos staff was kind enough to help me try to open other fixed price funds account. After waiting for about 15 minutes she managed to open up ASW2020 for me. I am very happy although I am not too sure whether this fund is good enough. Yeah, I am in the club. ASW2020 and ASM are alright. Don't know about as1m seeing that they as1m make a loss of rm150m last year.

QUOTE(intrepidity85 @ Feb 5 2016, 05:21 PM) yeah.. 1 million let set 6% dividend how much u have for 1 yr dividend? most of my money go in asw2020 .. i love this so much.. initially want invest in USD or SGD.. but scare to take the risk.. so i put extra cash in BR for sleep 1 yr haha.. You managed to get RM500k worth of units? Anyway, it's good to keep the amount needed to generate sufficient dividends which is equal to your total monthly expenses. Eg you use rm3k/month = rm36k/year. The amount needed to generate returns of rm36k/year = ~ RM562500 (provided the dividend remains at 6.4%) This post has been edited by Ramjade: Feb 5 2016, 06:03 PM

QUOTE(intrepidity85 @ Feb 5 2016, 06:04 PM) near to such amount, not dare to reveal.. some reporter will butthurt and report me lol If one shot, I don't believed it's possible as some of us here cannot even get 5 figures from the bank unless you are bumi. If multiple tries, I believed. QUOTE(intrepidity85 @ Feb 5 2016, 06:05 PM) may i know ASM good too? and the dividend is same as asw2020 or vice versa? .. Again, all 3 give more or less the same dividend. Best part about asm is there's no racial quota. Malay sell, Chinese and Indians can buy and wise versa. The order in terms of favourite funds are asw2020 > asm > as1m. The order is not based on returns but what is recommend on first page. If you are a bumi, go for asb, asb2.
