i am not sure can minimize not but when u open speedfan there is a icon in system tray showing the temp. but .. not showing the core temp just cpu temp (in case u are using dual core)

oh, i see..

eh? rclxub.gif
am i missing something here?

what's the different between those two, cpu and core temp? are'nt they the same thing?
iv'e heard of TAT temps, is that core temps?
then what is CPU temps?

CPU temp is the temp measured by the mobo's sensor. also it can be called as CPU's case temp. coz the sensor is measuring the temp from the cover/case of the cpu.

Core temp is the temp measured by the diode inside the cpu itself. that's why core temp is much more hotter than cpu temp.

ur temperature is high for a WC kit.
unless its a high end kit, u wont see a significant diff in temps

no wonder ur temps are so high, ur WC kit is not sufficient for the proc u are using.
try using the stock HSF and see whether thereis a significant diff between ur WC kit and stock HSF

If using Intel stock cooler, 70+C is normal but is advisable to buy an after market HSF to cool it down... the maximum temp for Pentium D 820 should not more than 63C and I read from somewhere that for Pentium D, the mobo normally will read the temp higher than actual, but it doesn't mean you are safe with your high temp...so buy a good cooler will be better...

You can try Noctua NH-12F if you can afford RM200 for the cooler, or RM170 for NH-12 (without fan)...if you can't afford, you can refer to this thread for your budget HSF... biggrin.gif

Got my TTBT yesterday.. happy. laugh.gif
But maybe i lock the HSF too tight.. the'H shape' bracket bend alrdy. ( bend alot sad.gif )
Have one question here about TTBT. I locked the bracket ( which stick to the HSF base) horizontally. I think its the rite way. Or should i lock it vertically for better cooling?
Thanks.

I'm using XP120 and my full load is about 65C. Am running on a Presshot core 3.0GHz, I'm thinking it might be cause by my casing perhaps? Since it only has 2 80cm intake and 2 80cm exhaust at the back.

Any recommendation on a good airflow casing?

I'm thinking of getting a Centurion 532. Or any other suggestions? Thanx.

532 will do if u really are in tight budget .... but i would personally suggest to go for Lian Li PC7 for RM 308... the air flow would be better as the HDD cage doesn't block much airflow as the CM 532... but there would be slight noise when using lian li hdd cage... it does not absorb or prevent the vibration much ...

i own both of the case before thumbup.gif
