Actually I don't want to take him but because pity him no transport back, so, I did good thing to send him back.

Charges is only RM60. Really not worth it but at least happy to do good thing.

He still can use Taxi what, he know Uber is cheap and trying to fish newbie driver sweat.gif

Going both way KL-Seremban would require 130-150km easily, fuel cost alone will need about RM20-25 already. Come back toll charges RM8-10, end up profit RM20+

I haven't factor in maintenance and car cost yet.

I actually have a trick/way, but I don't know whether to tell or not - because it's kinda evil.
Lemme know if you guys want to know tomorrow.

True, always charge at least an additional 50% to cover your empty car back.
This trip is in the middle of the night somemore, confirm 100% no return trip.

This rate has been going on for quite a while already.
Normally is around ~rm20 per hour, with quest bonus maybe ~rm25 per hour.
If unlucky, maybe only ~rm15 per hour.

QUOTE(uberXman @ Jun 20 2017, 10:26 PM)
actually do you guys set an earning target to achieve per day before heading back home? or hours of driving per day?
all these while when i hit my quest or feel tired, i would just go offline and drive back home to subang jaya with empty car no matter where i was... even it's in kajang or klang. I don't feel like wanna drive even one extra trip after my quest is achieved.
*
Used to have target previously.
But everytime also caused additional stress, cos most of the time also disappointed.
Nowadays, I drive without target and so I feel more relaxed.

it happened to me last month that i received a ping from jalan sultan, near petaling street. once arrived there, saw 3 fat european ladies with their big back packs. helped them load the bags in my boots and swiped 'start destination'... it showed chulia street, penang. i almost pengsan. it was only my second day of driving and didn't know what to do... so i just quickly canceled the trip and picked not to charge rider some more... told them i can't go penang. they were all in the car already and asked me what to do. i told them to take ets train from kl sentral. they agreed and i sent them to kl sentral free of charge bangwall.gif if it happens again, i would just ask them to change destination instead of cancelling it. asked them how much was the ride to penang and it was just RM265. worth it?

Guys, it's been a while since my last post.

Regarding some bros concern on the trip that much more further than what you wanted to drive, you can do the following :-

1) You can and you should reject outstation trips if you are not ready to drive that far and you will make a big loss. Kindly tell the rider it is out of your driving radius and end the trip by drop off, the fares will show zero and rider no need pay anything. Put a remark on that particular booking. Rider can request driver again and try their luck.

2) You should ask for an additional op-up for long-distance trip. Eg, RM150 to Melaka (from Uber apps), you should ask additional RM100 for empty car return, if they don't agree, cancel the trip.

3) Out of city trip, return tolls should be bared by rider (stated in Uber).

Hope this helps!

If no mistaken, once we start the trip, rider can rate us even if we cancel it later in our app. So need to talk to the rider nicely for rejecting their trip.

Stupig and newbie question..I had a pickup over the weekend..there was 3 riders..

One of the rider requested me to drop him off to his house first (not part of the destination request, even with the new multi-stop feature)..

Then only I dropped off the other 2 riders to the requested destination..do I get paid for the detour?

Check back the route. See the trip, minute? and km? calculate back to check the fare is correct or not.
if you are underpaid, send in a trouble ticket report. mention that got detour as rider ask for it. you will get compensated.

same thing to me yesterday... started in pj during noon time but drove for 30 mins without a request ping. got fed up and drove back home without a single trip yesterday.
today a bit lucky... landed in ss2 after my 3rd trips around 12pm. got a request ping in ss2 to send rider to setia alam and the boost was 2.1x. so the earning inclusive of RM2.40 toll was RM48 in total. 10 mins b4 dropping the rider, another ping came in... to send rider to titiwangsa bus station. but this time without surge nor boost and the earning was rm28. biggrin.gif
