On Friday night, i don't know was it lucky or bad luck. After i dropped a rider at KLIA, i saw the queue was 40-50 cars and I decided to wait. After waiting for about 1 hour, i got a ping in KLIA2 and went to pick up a group tourist (4 people). When i swipe start trip, it was to Genting Highlands!!!

Damn! KLIA to Genting.... i dunno should i laugh or cry.... the trip was a pleasant one and the riders are extremely nice people. I reached Genting at almost 11pm and the fare is RM155 including toll.

Rider paid by cash and gave another RM45 tips, totalling to RM200 after hearing that i might come down empty handed.

If going to Melaka, u can cancel the trip. as it is going out of Uber KL Map
and....... you're in service line, learn the ropes, always have excuses with a smile

If you are at PJ, no need to round - ping will definitely come in very fast.
Hartamas / Mont Kiara - these places also endless ping.

Or did you refused any ping ? What is your AR like ?

My AR is always at 97-100%, so I have no problem getting ping most of the time.
Even in places where I see other drivers camping, I will normally get the ping first and moved off.
I just don't know whether the trip is profitable or not HAHAHA...

Upfront fare,
If you take more time, fare remains the same.
If you take less time, fare also remain the same - but Uber will pocket the extras.

let say if the original fare from A to B is RM10, and if the rider requested to send back to the original pick up location (A to B to A) will the fare be ~RM20? does the rider need to change the destination setting when reach B?

do i need to go offline just b4 reaching point B or else there maybe request ping come in?

it happened to me 3 weeks ago, the app crashed. i took a rider at subang jaya and sending her back to one utama. didn't realize it crashed until a new ping came in to pick up a rider in sunway. i confused and accepted the ping and then the navigation showing the new route to pick up the rider in sunway. but i continued with the original destination to one utama. the second rider cancelled the request after a few mins, maybe seeing me heading the wrong direction.
I told the rider i had to go offline as something wrong with the app as her destination was no longer showing in the navi. she checked her phone and the trip was already cancelled as well. she told me her credit card transaction for the fare- RM17+ already gone through. Luckily she gave me the detail and said she would lodged a report with uber as well. the trip didn't show on my trip history nor her trip history on her phone as well.
i wrote to uber to complain. it took few days and numerous exchange of messages before they found the trip record. the record show the trip was cancelled just after 100 m from the pick up point and paying me RM1+ for the trip. i gave them all the details and the rider's phone number and asked them to call her to verify. after a few days the trip showed on my dashboard and the fare was just RM13 before uber's fee. Luckily the rider told me the exact fare amount charged on her credit card and i wonder where had the RM4+ gone to.  I didn't want to drag the issue further and just accepted whatever fare credited to me.

I'm new to Uber and would like to ask following:
1) How to stop new request for stacked ping, on Android phone? I don't see any selection for this? So either ignore or accept it, but it drop my AP if ignore it....
2) I could see the "surge" icon in some trips. But how could i know what is the surge rate from the trip history?
