QUOTE(ammarsweil @ May 26 2020, 03:49 PM) Thank you. After a lot of reading here & on reddit, I end up ordering the 600n & 1zpresso jx. They said in term of grind quality, jx are much better than encore, and the 600n is good enough for my dad(also when I'm super lazy or have cheap beans). Plus I ask PPPcoffee, they said Encore might be back in stock early June, but they can't promise it. There are quite a few post on reddit mentioning issue when it come to grinding light roast bean with the encore. can you confirm this? Most of the bean I bought is light roast. I dunno, I hope i make a correct decision lol using encore for bout i think 4 years plus for filter only. problem with light roast bean the Burr holder Flange breaks more often and you need to replace the burr holder.

That unfortunate. But from what I read, at least all part of the encore are replaceable right.

I had several burr holder spares sent to me from Baratza US for no charge when the burr holder tabs broke while under warranty, even though my warranty is supposed to be from the Malaysian vendor.

QUOTE(pierreye @ May 26 2020, 08:15 AM) Hi, got it from Shopee seller around RM 999. Taobao is cheaper but I don't want to deal with custom just in case. Taobao free grinder also seems to be a proper coffee grinder compare to local seller. If you don't want to do the warm water reservoir hack, you can look for CRM 3007D model. It's using 500ml stainless steel boiler so technically had more stable brew temp and more powerful steam. https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...s=1&abbucket=12this one is out my budget... thanks for the suggestion... any idea/comments on this model? I would just get Gemilai CRM3605 compare to Delonghi. With 58mm brew head, proper pressure gauge, standard one hole steam wand compare to Pannarello steam wand on Delonghi. Pannarello steam wand can't create microfoam for latte art. For less than RM 800 with more proper grinder for entry level espresso: https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a220m...a3d245d68a2ab5aThis post has been edited by pierreye: May 27 2020, 01:41 PM

Just received my JX just now. They delivered it on monday via fedex. If you are planning to buy 1zpresso, definitely recommend it to buy directly from their website.
Damn the JX has a heft to it. It feel solid as hell. The grind is milesssss better than my hario slim (rip buddy) and it take way less time.

QUOTE(felicious @ May 20 2020, 05:22 PM) Been using Hario Mini Grinder for french press, and now for V60. Personally I think it's good enough. I just used my French Press to make cold brew. I can make 100g coffee : 400ml water, which yield around 2xx ml of coffee concentrate Thanks for your feedback. After some readings still thinking to get a metal burr instead of ceramic burr. Anyone has experience with Cafede Kona manual coffee grinder? Was looking for Chestnut C Slim but the price is kind of out of my budget. https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a220m...48c60d5df9d9e15

Maybe consider something like Timemore Chesnut grinder? Easily available locally via Lazada/Shopee. I recall Scott Rao getting pretty good extraction using a Timemore hand grinder in one of his instagram post.

Really consistent grind compared to the often recommended Hario. Plus the burrs grind relatively fast

The difference between Chestnut C and slim is the 1 piece cast body for slim right? I am thinking to buy from taobao instead of local as the price difference a lot.
