in this thread, i remember there were posts saying "unblock us" doesn't work anymore as well "it still works", special dns still can get usa netflix, etc.
since netflix has declared they will stop all that in a recent major announcement, and if it still possible for the ordinary user to do find backdoors, it can only mean netflix is not able to stop it. which in turn means the biz $ is still leaking. hence, i will not buy netflix stock yet. |

QUOTE(deepan84 @ Feb 15 2016, 06:45 PM) There are free VPNs too. The last time I used DNS didn't work because I was using Hotspot service, probably Service Provider prevented. So I am using some free VPN now. Just some inconvenience waiting in queue (at startup about 3 min). |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Feb 16 2016, 02:08 AM) do you get hd, dd5.1 with it? Been using a DNS service from day one on a Samsung Smart TV.. Till date, I've got full access to USA content with 1080p + DD5.1 sound.. Try resetting your TV, during initial setup, make sure to key in the USA DNS info, etc so your TV never has to connect from "Malaysia". After then, it shouldn't really matter, cuz I can even switch between USA & Canadian content at will.i had tried with similar dns and found... .. no use on netflix certified smart tv - it will not work, get same local content. .. can use on uncertified android box - yes, full content but... in sd only, as expected of the device. maybe that's what they meant - stop such dns access on certified devices only, can't do much about uncertified ones...? anyone else experience same or different? the full content is like 100 x local content, incl foreign language movies! |

There was a small hiccup with Unotelly when Netflix started their block, but everything is working smooth as butter now. They managed a workaround.
Ipad, PS3/PS4 no problem. Granted I haven't tried netflix as a native TV app. |
