QUOTE(AVFAN @ Feb 16 2016, 06:32 PM) like to know... what is the price for Netflix in USA, UHD 4k pack? Premium plan: $12... Conversion rate in myr is more or less the same as current plan pricing in Malaysia. I'm on a grandfathered plan, paying $8 per month for full HD. Though Netflix has announced to end the grandfather plans sometime this year & kick us up to the normal $10 per month..

Exactly... . Another reason why I refuse to give up my current netflix plan and sign up under Malaysia.. On a cheaper plan, even if I had to pay the full $10 per month (or RM42) but for farrrrrrr less content. Astro....?? Ain't nobody got time for that.. Still have a fully discounted Hypptv Mega Pack.. Local TV channels taken care of .. This post has been edited by voncrane: Feb 16 2016, 10:15 PM

Yeah, sticking to the current plan.. I've actually not really taken advantage of iflix, especially since they offered Unifi subscribers free access for a year. It's been awhile and I've still not had enough free time to watch "Black Sails" on iflix. As per the rest... No comment.. I will say, I developed a new found liking for Korean action movies on Netflix.. Also, Kublai Khan & Hundred Eyes... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Marco Polo

If you have to watch only one Korean action movie, I recommend "The Man from Nowhere". Available on US version. Very good! It is like TAKEN on steroids.

Ah, Marco Polo.. IMO.. Is a well researched series and even @1080p on a full HD TV, I was blown away by the gorgeous sets and costumes. At 4K res?? Yeah, Hundred eyes is best enjoyed after watching the complete season 1. QUOTE(cchean @ Feb 17 2016, 09:28 AM) If you have to watch only one Korean action movie, I recommend "The Man from Nowhere". It's unwise to use "special" DNS servers as a permanent configuration directly on your main router.. Primarily cuz, it's a security risk (url hijacks & redirection) and the server could end up being overloaded by unnecessary requests, while its being used for normal browsing..

I was looking for ways for better netflix streaming and somebody mentioned qos
I turned on the qos feature on my router and have it prioritize my firetv stick ip address. The difference is absolutely amazing when using it, less buffer time when starting videos and streams to hd in seconds.
Most importantly is no more sudden drops to blurry sd quality mid scenes and that was already on unifi. Using xiaomi router btw and tvunblock dns.

Haven't used it since the early days of beta trial iflix Same here, haven't really used it since beta days on the PC.. So I just tried it on a Nexus 10 tablet and after about 5 minutes for stream to stabilize, it's watchable but on the 2560 x 1600 pixels screen, it's quite obvious it's not HD. Also, according to the tv series info, Malay & English subtitles are available but on the android app, I got nothing & no options during playback or otherwise to enable them. Subs work on the PC though. A quick run to their website's FAQ section... Under the question "Can I stream iflix in HD?" Their answer; "Patience you must have, Yoda. Our team is working hard to make this happen for you. Stay tuned!". So, this confirms my earlier suspicions that streaming quality is below 720p. Granted, it's still watchable. Finally, tried using the download now, watch offline feature & got error messages instead. Streaming was near instantaneous, so I'll give them that.
